Looking and sounding appropriately grave, President delivered his Farewell Address to the nation last evening. He only preempted 15 minutes of programming and talked for about 13…but did it feel to anyone else that his speech utterly dragged on for ever? Once it was all over, I was wondering if Inauguration Day had already come and gone.

But no, not just yet it hasn’t. And as of today, President Bush can still make as many speeches as he want and we’ll all hum “All Hail the Chief” when he walks into a room. But ’s day in the Oval Office draws ever nearer - the event which promises to go down in Washington history is less than one week away.

In his speech, Bush pat himself on the back and spoke lengthy words of praise for America as a nation. He related stories of the aftermath from 9/11. He spoke hopefully of how strong the country shall one day be. He even seemed to provide a rare glimpse into his daily life as President, pointing out that life never returned to normal for him after the chilling terrorist attacks on the country.

At first glance, looks like another high-drama, all shock-value reality show from VH1, a network which has prided itself on highly trashy unscripted shows in the past. Seriously, one more bad dating show and VH1 could for ever be relegated to the realm of “too high on the dial.” But the trailer for Tool Academy seems to promise more than just tacky TV…it actually looks like it wants to delve a bit deeper. So what’s the verdict, based on last night’s brand-new series premiere?

Here’s the premise: nine girlfriends are fed up with their boyfriends’ philandering, unromantic and uncaring ways. And they’re looking for a change. So they’ve decided to put their men in an intense, 30-day boyfriend boot camp where they will meet with specialists and be set on the road to reform. Those who fail the test are kicked out of the Academy, branded irrepressible tools and sent back to their girlfriends to be dumped or accepted for who they are.

But can a frog be turned into a prince, even through the magic of group therapy, one-on-one counseling, stressful challenges and reality TV? The Tool Academy hopes to prove that it can happen…for one lucky couple, at least.

Q: What does a late night host do when he needs fresh material? A: He gets married.

On last night’s episode of , the Scottish comedian surprised the audience with details about his recent time off. The 46-year-old revealed that he wed his longtime girlfriend, Megan Wallace Cunningham, during the holiday break.

“The wedding took place in Vermont, where they have legalized gay civil unions—and I married a woman,” Ferguson clarified. “But I am European, so I was both the groom and the maid of honor.” Craig later joked that his ring - installed with the latest GPS technology - would shock him like a dog collar should he ever get too close to a stripper.

This was Ferguson’s third trip down the aisle. He also has a 7-year-old son from his second marriage.

Although we’re still not sure whether is a hair-puller, one thing was definitely made clear last night: the Osbourne matriarch will not tolerate insults about her family.

During yesterday’s Rock of Love Charm School reunion special, the 56-year-old did a fairly decent job keeping her interjections to a minimum while Megan Hauserman blathered about getting her dog fixed. Unfortunately, one of Sharon’s remarks didn’t sit well with the former contestant.

After hearing that she “shouldn’t be allowed to breed,” Megan told Osbourne that the only thing she’s managed to do as a celebrity was take care of her ‘brain dead rock star husband.’ (You can cue the video to the 1:20 mark now.)

Although the image of actress Sharon Gless (Colleen Rose) turning a Hollywood agent into a large Build-A-Bear is still fresh on my mind, it’s surprisingly been a year since was last on air. (The show was temporarily halted in February 2008 because of the writers’ strike.)

So where exactly did the series leave off? Julia was shot by Eden, Christian and Annie were involved in a car accident on their way to the hospital, Matt started sleeping with his half-sister and Sean was stabbed in the back (literally) by Colleen.

Back in elementary school, John Taylor rocked my world. (Actually Nick Rhodes did, but Taylor wasn’t far behind.) But will the Duran Duran guitarist do the same for ?

In this clip from , Taylor stars as rocker Tommy Wylder, a musician who can still make women in the 30+ age group giddy.

Look for John to appear in the January 12 episode of the ABC comedy.

!Warning! The following clip contains offensive and explicit language:

What was a routine New Year’s Eve segment turned into much more when hecklers, a live mic and were thrown into the mix. Since the camera had cut away to go to commercial during Griffin’s comments, it’s highly likely the comedienne thought she was off the air.

Does that make her comments okay? Either way, Griffin lashed out at a bystander in the crowd. While her comments were likely meant to be amusing, it’s doubtful the audience thought anything she said was funny. “Screw you!” The redhead screamed at an onlooker, not shown by the cameras, before she proceeded to make her vulgar comment (heard in entirety in the clip above).
