Meet Glee’s Newest Cast Member: Darren Criss

“It’s a really big secret,” Darren Criss explained of the one thing every Glee fan wants to know: is he going to play Kurt’s new boyfriend?
Criss will be playing an openly gay student at Dalton Academy who meets Kurt (Chris Colfer) and acts as a “mentor” to him.
“It’s great to see a strong character like this on a hit show that so many people are watching,” Criss said of Blaine. But will he be Kurt’s man? “My guess is as good as anybody’s,” Criss admitted. Or has he simply been sworn to silence? You decide - Blaine will be introduced to the world of Glee on November 9.

Did Mark Salling Get Booted from Glee?

Reports are all over the media that Mark Salling may have breached his Glee contract by releasing a solo album, and that he could well be off the show for good. But we’re hearing a different version of events.
Salling, who plays bad boy Puck, was mysteriously absent from this week’s episode. Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) told us only that Puck had been sent to Juvenile Detention. But insiders say that Puck will definitely be returning to the series, recording contracts and album releases notwithstanding.
An unnamed insider reports that all the Glee cast members are highly supportive of Salling, who has been working on his music career for many, many years. Salling is still a regular cast member…and we’re also hearing that when he returns, he’ll have the Mohawk back.

Glee Makes Music with Duets Episode

Glee was little more somber last week, but the show balanced it out with plenty of fun on last night’s “Duets” episode. Not only did we get two Finn and Rachel numbers, we saw sparks fly between a new potential romantic pairing…and, we delved a little deeper into one of our new favorites: Brittany Pearce.

Monday Ratings: Surf’s Down for Hawaii Five-0

Has the tide gone down for CBS at 10:00? For the first time since its debut, Hawaii Five-0 was bested by Castle in the hour. ABC’s victory in that time slot helped the network take another double win (viewers and demos) on Monday.
8pm
- Dancing with the Stars (19.8 million, 4.1/10 in 18-49) was down slightly.
- House (9.5 million, 3.6/10) lost 1 million.
- How I Met Your Mother (8.5 million, 3.4/9) did about the same.
- Rules of Engagement (8 million, 3.0/8) gave up 500,000.
- Chuck (5.3 million, 1.9/5) was on par with last Monday.
- 90210 (1.8 million, 0/9/2) was off by 100,000.

Jon Heder Reprising Napoleon Dynamite Role

Jon Heder will soon be coming to the small screen to play Napoleon Dynamite … after a fashion.
The actor has agreed to star as the voice of the character in a new animated series which will air on FOX. The network has ordered six episodes of the program to start.
