“It’s got so much firepower,” Jane Lynch said of Glee’s post Super Bowl episode.

Lynch, who plays cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester on the series, revealed that her character will throw “a hissy fit the likes of which no one has seen before.” Fabulous.

“There is so much going on in the show,” she hyped. “I try to shoot one of my cheerleaders from a cannon.” We're really hoping it’s Brittany (Heather Morris).

Boardwalk Empire

The Golden Globe contenders for the 2010-11 season were officially announced Tuesday morning in Beverly Hills by Katie Holmes, Josh Duhamel and Blair Underwood.

Last year's Best Comedy Series winner, Glee, lead all television programs with a total of five nominations. Five series -- 30 Rock, Boardwalk Empire, Dexter, The Good Wife and Mad Men -- tied for second place with three nods each.

Here are some of the notable omissions/inclusions from this year's list of nominees:

  • The Good Wife was the only non-cable series to be recognized for Best Drama.
  • The Walking Dead replaced that other horror series (True Blood), giving AMC two nominations in the Drama category.
  • The limitations of the Best Supporting Actor category meant only two acting noms for the cast of Modern Family.
  • Jennifer Love Hewitt has found herself pitted against Claire Danes ... and Dame Judi Dench.

The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards -- hosted again by Ricky Gervais -- will air Jan. 16 on NBC.

(You can find the full list of nominees after the jump. Click here for the film nominations.)

Want to know why you didn't get to see the Minnesota Vikings play the New York Giants today? Here's the reason.

The Minneapolis area was hit with over 17 inches of snow, and the city's stadium -- which opened in 1982 -- felt the impact.

When leaks started forming on Saturday (apparently not an unusual event for the structure), the FOX Sports crew decided to leave their cameras rolling. Based on the great footage, their efforts definitely paid off.

The game will now be played Monday night at 7 p.m. ET in Detroit's Ford Field.
