Barbara Billingsley, Famous TV Mom, Dies
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, ABC, CBS, News, Video,
Barbara Billingsley, one of TV's legends, has died. Billingsley was better known to TV audiences as June Cleaver, the mom on Leave it to Beaver. That classic TV sitcom ran on CBS in 1957, then on ABC until 1963.
“People still talk about it and write letters, telling how much they watch it today with their children and grandchildren,” said Billingsley several years after the show had been canceled. Though it was still very popular in 1963, the show called it quits after the sixth season because the two youngest stars, Jerry Mathers and Tony Dow, wanted to move on. “We knew we were making a good show, because it was so well-written,” Billingsley stated in the same interview.

MONDAY (10/18)
- The Real Housewives of Atlanta (Bravo, 9 p.m.): "This Kandi is sweet---she journeys to Palm Springs to extend support to Kim, who's been invited to perform at a gay-circuit party." She wants to be there to laugh with Kim, not at her.
- Hoarders (A&E, 10 p.m.): "A woman battling cancer has a difficult time with treatments because of the condition of her home, which is covered with rat feces and hair." And she thought it was the chemo that was making her feel nauseated.
- Weeds (Showtime, 10 p.m.): "The rest of the Botwin clan attempt to move some product at a children's concert." It takes a lot of green stuff for parents to pay for those shows ... and to sit through them, too.

South Park typically pulled no punches Wednesday night when mocking reality TV shows Jersey Shore and the Real Housewives of New Jersey. Now, some of the targets of the jokes have responded to seeing themselves immortalized in animation.
Former Housewives cast member Danielle Staub managed to take it all in stride. “I was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t just me being made fun of for a change,” she laughed. Staub said she was “honored to be mocked” by South Park, adding “Poor Snooki though! I got off easy compared to her!”

The Queen of daytime had a gift for two of late night’s Princes (okay…jesters) on Thursday night. Comedy Central host Jon Stewart started his Daily Show with the usual jokes regarding the day’s events…but he was soon interrupted by channel-mate Stephen Colbert.
After some ribbing (Stewart) and cajoling (Colbert), the two announced that they will be combining rallies. That’s right: The "Rally to Restore Sanity" and The "March to Keep Fear Alive" have merged to create The "Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear.” Seeing the two of them on center stage was great fun, but they were soon trumped by someone with more clout than the they both have combined.

Did Mark Salling Get Booted from Glee?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, Music, Prime Time, FOX, Gossip, Rumors, Video,
Reports are all over the media that Mark Salling may have breached his Glee contract by releasing a solo album, and that he could well be off the show for good. But we’re hearing a different version of events.
Salling, who plays bad boy Puck, was mysteriously absent from this week’s episode. Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) told us only that Puck had been sent to Juvenile Detention. But insiders say that Puck will definitely be returning to the series, recording contracts and album releases notwithstanding.
An unnamed insider reports that all the Glee cast members are highly supportive of Salling, who has been working on his music career for many, many years. Salling is still a regular cast member…and we’re also hearing that when he returns, he’ll have the Mohawk back.

Can ABC Family’s Huge Series Be Saved?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Comedy, ABC, Cable, Cancellations, Video,
ABC Family made a bold move last summer when they introduced Huge, a series revolving around the plus-sized attendees of a fat camp. Hairspray’s Nikki Blonsky was a dynamic part of the ensemble cast, which also featured Hayley Hasselhoff.
The show was well-received by critics and fans, but inexplicably the order was recently given for Huge’s cancellation. Blonsky said the news caught her “off guard. We were so thrilled with the reviews we got."

South Park Mocks Jersey Shore
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Animation, Comedy, Prime Time, Cable, Gossip, Video,
No one is safe when Trey Parker and Matt Stone are creating new episodes of South Park.
MTV’s Jersey Shore became the latest target of the series - but why stop there? The show also dissed Real Housewives and displayed a lot of ill humor by making an Al Qaeda connection.
But it was Snooki, the famously poofed reality star, who got the worst of it. Follow the jump to view the video that we’re pretty sure is going to send her right over the edge…
