ABC’s Wednesday lineup - a victim of last year’s writers strike - had a large hurdle to overcome last night. Unfortunately, the viewers were not where the Alphabet network left them. The audiences (along with the demos) were all over at CBS.

• Bones (9.8 million, 3.1/9 in 18-49) tacked on another 200,000.
• Knight Rider (7.6 million, 2.4/7) got 300,000 more revved up.
• The New Adventures of Old Christine (6.9 million, 2.0/6) and Gary Unmarried (7 million, 2.2/6) were both up 200,000.
• Pushing Daisies (6.3 million, 2.0/6) was off 55% from this point last year.
• America’s Next Top Model (4 million, 1.8/5) was down a notch.

9pm

• Criminal Minds (14.5 million, 3.8/10 in 18-49) shaved off 1.3 million.
• America’s Got Talent (12.6 million, 3.3/8) picked up 2.4 million more.
• Private Practice‘s premiere (8.2 million, 3.3/8) was down 37%.
• A ‘Til Death block (4.3 million, 1.7/4) slid 300,000.
• 90210* (1.7 million, 0.9/2) gave up 600,000.

10pm

• CSI: NY (14.7 million, 4.1/11 in 18-49) shed 300,000.
• Dirty Sexy Money (7.1 million, 2.5/7) shrunk 33Li%.
• Lipstick Jungle (5.3 million, 1.9/5) tumbled by 800,000.
