Could be CBS be losing one of its top-rated shows next year?

According to sources for People magazine, actor Charlie Sheen has turned down a contract renewal for his hit comedy, Two and a Half Men. The Emmy-nominated star has reportedly decided to walk away after the upcoming season finale.

Although Sheen recently returned to the set after taking time off for rehab, he has been continuing with his treatment after each work day. It’s not known what he intends to do after the April 9 taping.

“He wants to move on,” the friend said of Charlie’s decision. “Leaving is 100 percent his idea.”

Sheen’s rep, who would not confirm the report, offered this as a reponse: “Charlie’s deal is only through this current season.”
