Friday Ratings: Ugly Night for Ugly Betty

A night of repeats didn’t help Ugly Betty‘s long-term survival chances this weekend. Despite a slate of originals for ABC, the network lost out to CBS in viewers. Meanwhile, FOX - thanks to an animated movie - actually won in the demos.
8pm
- Ghost Whisperer* (1.3/4 in 18-49) pulled in 5.6 million.
- Ice Age: The Meltdown (1.4/5) warmed 4.8 million.
- The 40-Year-Old Virgin had 3.9 million laughing for NBC (1.3/4).
- Supernanny (3.5 million, 0.9/3) was down by 1.5 million.
- Smallville* (0.6/2) turned in 1.6 million.

- Medium* (1.2/4 in 18-49) tuned in 5.1 million.
- Ugly Betty (3.4 million, 0.9/3) plunged by 1.1 million.
- America’s Next Top Model* (840,000, 0.4/1) fell by 150,000.

- 20/20 (6.3 million, 1.6/5 in 18-49) was the night’s biggest draw.
- Numb3rs* (1.1/3) registered 5.2 million.
- The Jay Leno Show* (3.5 million, 1.0/3) performed better than Betty.
