Brooke White Defends American Idol’s Paula Abdul

Brooke White Though most of the country is still reeling from Paula Abdul’s flub, the current limelight is supposed to belong to recently-ousted Brooke White. When asked about judge , Brooke defended Idol‘s only female regular. “It’s live television - anything can happen.” We all saw that fact firsthand with Brooke. “I don’t know exactly what happened with Paula, but stuff happens. On the show, when it’s live, things can change very quickly,” White said. “I’m sure she just got lost in the moment.” Honey, Paula’s been lost since season one.

This year’s Idol has been much less about girl power. Did that make it harder for Brooke White? “The boys are awfully popular this year, and I know that because their fan mail came in great, humongous stacks, and us girls got, like, three a day. It’s amazing. But the boys are very talented and very charming. Oh, to be a boy this year! It probably would’ve been helpful.”

As for the future, Brooke plans to continue her musical career, which will be heavily influenced by female singers of the 70s - with a more modern twist for her own songs.

Paula has not been lost since season 1. will you please stop picking on her?! I am a big fan of Paula and I find it to be very insulting reading stuff like that. Paula Abdul is a great role model, one of the best today. No, she is not perfect. But she tries, unlike most other celebrities. she has had a great season besides this mistake. will you please give her credit for all the good stuff she has done and stop focusing on her mistakes??!

paula rox. love brooke for defending her.
