Friday Ratings: Dateline Does Well for NBC

A lack of originals and Showcase Showdowns put CBS in unfamiliar territory behind NBC.
8pm

- Ghost Whisperer* (6.7 million, 1.7/6 in 18-49) whittled away 2 million.
- A Most Outrageous Moments* repeat (1.5/6) drew in 5.5 million.
- House* (5 million, 1.5/6) did slightly better than last week’s Bones.
- Friday Night Smackdown (4.1 million, 1.2/4) saw 300,000 tune out.
- Desperate Housewives* (0.8/3) entertained 3.1 million couch potatoes.

- The 2-hour Dateline (7.1 million, 1.9/6 in 18-49) was the evening’s most-watched program.
- Moonlight* (1.3/4) sucked in 5.3 million.
- Canterbury’s Law (1.0/3) ended its season with 4.7 million.
- Duel (3.3 million, 0.9/3) placed last in its hour.
10pm
- Numb3rs* (6.8 million, 1.9/6 in 18-49) tied for yesterday’s best demos.
- 20/20 (5.3 million, 1.5/5) had a 1.8 million decrease.
