Friday Ratings: Close Call Between CBS and NBC

Friday night’s contest came down to the activity in the 9:00 hour. When the dust settled, CBS barely passed NBC in the viewers (5.09 million to 5.06 million) while tying both NBC and CW in the demos.
8pm
- Ghost Whisperer* (5 million, 1.2/5 in 18-49) saw 200,000 spirits disappear.
- Most Outrageous Moments* (4.1 million, 0.9/4) also slipped by 200,000.
- Friday Night Smackdown (4 million, 1.2/5) got 200,000 more in the ring.
- ABC‘s airing of Lemony Snicket (1.1/4) entertained 3.5 million.
- Approximately 2.6 million were sucked into The Fog (0.9/3) on FOX.

- Numb3rs (6 million, 1.3/4 in 18-49) was Friday’s most-watched show.
- Dateline (5.5 million, 1.4/5) had the evening’s best demos.
10pm
- 20/20 (4.34 million, 1.1/4 in 18-49) was down 400,000 from last week.
- Swingtown (4.33 million, 1.3/4) had a 200,000 decrease.
