Phil Partington is a writing enthusiast of many years and has been published in national magazines, web publications and other media arenas. He hails from Washington state and is a bit quirky, odd and often dorky. With that in mind, it’s no wonder he turned out a writer!
After 13 years of playing organized basketball, Phil realized a career in the pros wasn't an option. Instead, he evolved into a basketball geek, expressing his opinions and insights via several media outlets. He has written for a myriad of basketball and fantasy basketball sites around the net.
Phil graduated with a BA in English with a minor in Business Administration at Saint Martin's University in Washington state and currently works full time with the Plant Operations Support Consortium, a self-sustaining consortium for public organizations across the northwest. He writes for and is editor of the Consortium's quarterly trade publication, "Shop Talk," and assists public organizations in maximizing their resources and elasticizing their budgets through various professional services.

Not sure why David Lee’s such a big risk just because he only signed a one-year deal. He’ll get the minutes in New York, and he should only be hungrier than last year, when he averaged 16-11. In Yahoo’s rankings, he finished top 30! Not too shabby. One thing you always get from Lee is effort. Combine that with ability and a good situation for stat-booster under D’Antoni’s system, and that spells another great fantasy season. The reason they didn’t sign him to a longer contract is because they’re trying to get cap space for the LeBron sweepstakes. A lot of people will be sorry they passed on Lee
