The LEGO One Piece Teaser Is Exactly the Goofy Detour This Story Needed
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Toys, Videos,
There is a particular kind of joy in watching a deadly serious adventure story get handed over to a pile of plastic minifigures, and Netflix just leaned all the way into it. The streamer dropped a teaser for LEGO One Piece, a two-part animated special that retells the first two seasons of its live-action pirate show entirely in brick form. It looks every bit as gleefully silly as that sentence sounds.
The special lands September 29, and the premise is smarter than a cash-in usually gets to be. Instead of a straight replay, it uses Usopp as the narrator, walking a wide-eyed Tony Tony Chopper through everything the Straw Hats got up to across the East Blue and the Grand Line. If you have never touched One Piece, that framing is basically a friendly on-ramp. If you have watched every episode twice, it is a chance to see the whole saga from a new angle, in a form that refuses to take itself too seriously.

Watch Styropyro Turn Mercury and Neon Into Lightning in a Bottle (Video)

The result looks like something out of a wizard's workshop: a hand-held tube that flickers and crackles with light every time it moves. And the wild part is that the basic trick is not new at all. People have been watching mercury glow in the dark since 1675, long before anyone had the faintest idea what electricity actually was.

You Won’t Look At Apple’s Siri AI The Same Way After Watching This (Video)
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Google, Software, Videos, Artificial Intelligence,
Here's the story you probably heard: Apple fell behind on AI, panicked, and quietly handed Siri over to Google. So when a much smarter Siri showed up at WWDC, the case seemed closed. Siri was just Gemini wearing an Apple logo. It was a tidy narrative, repeated everywhere, and it turns out to be wrong.
During WWDC, I was invited to a closed-door media briefing with Craig Federighi and his team. Craig took the Google question head-on, first walking us through how a typical chatbot app like ChatGPT or Gemini works, then explaining what Apple built instead. His conclusion was blunt: "The amount of Google Assistant we use is none." No Gemini client code in iOS, none of the models Google deploys to its own customers, and not even Google Search as the foundation of Siri's world knowledge.

This Might Be the Smartest Way to Clean a Pool (Beatbot Sora 30 & iSkim) (Video)
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Smart Home, Product Reviews, Videos,
Keeping a pool clean sounds simple until you are the one trying to keep leaves, bugs, pollen, dirt, sand, and that weird waterline grime under control right before people show up. In this video, I’m taking a look at a different approach from BeatBot: instead of asking one robot to do everything, the Sora 30 handles the floor, walls, and waterline while the iSkim patrols the surface.
This Robot Pool Cleaner Scrubs the Part Everyone Hates! (MOVA Diver A10) (Video)

The MOVA Diver A10 is a cordless robot pool cleaner built for the part of pool ownership nobody talks about until they are already standing outside with a skimmer, a brush, and a weekend disappearing in front of them. It uses a camera, six sensors, and 3D mapping to understand the shape of your pool before it starts cleaning, then moves through the floor, walls, edges, and waterline with a lot more purpose than the old bump-and-hope pool bots.
The XREAL One Pro are the BEST AR Glasses I’ve Ever Used! (Video)
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Wearables, Product Reviews, Videos,
The XREAL One Pro are not the kind of AR glasses most people picture when they hear the term. There are no sci-fi holograms floating over the real world, and no bulky headset experience.
After using them for months, I think of them much more simply: a massive private display you can take anywhere. In this video, I break down how I’ve been using the XREAL One Pro as a portable screen for work, travel, gaming, and watching movies. That includes plugging them into a laptop as a virtual ultra-wide monitor, using them with the ROG Xbox Ally X for handheld gaming, turning cramped airplane seats into a private cinema or work setup, and replacing questionable hotel TVs with a much better virtual screen.
The big difference here is the X1 Spatial Computing chip, which helps keep the display stable with ultra-low latency, plus electrochromic dimming, a wide field of view, and 120Hz refresh support.

Why the iPhone 17e is Genius (Video!)
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Apple, Smartphones, Features, Product Reviews, Videos,
The iPhone 17e is the affordable iPhone Apple should have made from the start. At the same $599 price, it fixes nearly every major complaint people had about the last model with the A19 chip, 256GB of base storage, MagSafe, the new C1X modem, Ceramic Shield 2, and smarter camera features. In this video, I break down the six upgrades that make the 17e feel less like a budget compromise and more like a real member of the iPhone 17 lineup.
What makes this phone so interesting is not just the spec sheet, but how much better the everyday experience looks this time around. Faster wireless charging, more storage at no extra cost, better durability, and a more capable camera all add up to a phone that feels much easier to recommend. If you skipped the previous model because it felt like Apple was holding back, this breakdown shows why the iPhone 17e may be the value pick in the lineup.
Roborock F25 GT vs. Tineco Floor One S5: The Ultimate Mop-Vac Showdown
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Features, Smart Home, Misc. Tech, Product Reviews, Videos,
Wet-dry vacuums are lifesavers for hard floors. But they usually come with some annoying caveats. You know the drill. You get a dirty streak right against the baseboards. The roller develops a damp, mildewy smell. And you always end up doing manual maintenance after the machine finishes its "self-cleaning" cycle.
I kept running into these exact issues. So, I decided to put two heavy hitters head-to-head to see if we can finally get a truly hands-off clean.
In this battle, we put the Roborock F25 GT vs Tineco Floor One S5!

Skylight Calendar Review: The Distraction-Free Way to Organize Your Family’s Schedule
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Features, Smart Home, Product Reviews, Videos,
You know that thing where you pull out your phone to check one appointment, and suddenly you're 20 minutes deep into Instagram Reels about cats?
Our phones were supposed to make us more organized. Instead, they turned into distraction machines that just happen to have our calendars buried inside them. Coordinating a family schedule with shared digital calendars often feels like playing a game of telephone. You end up standing in the kitchen wondering if anyone is free on Thursday afternoon, while everyone stares at different screens.
The Skylight Calendar fixes this by doing exactly one job perfectly. It's a dedicated touchscreen display that lives on your wall or counter, showing your household exactly what is going on. It doesn't ping you with notifications. It doesn't try to sell you running shoes while you plan your week. It just keeps your family organized.
You can pick up the Skylight Calendar now!
