Gadget Pen Serves Five Functions

Gadget Pen

Here’s another device that multitasks. The 5 in 1 Gadget Pen is a stylus for PDAs, cell phones or NDSs, even in the dark. It acts as a red laser pointer, a bank note checker, and surprise, is also a ball point pen. Finally, you can use the bugger as a mini-torch. At the minute weight of 30g, the pen comes with three spare lithium batteries and a minuscule price of $11.00.

(Thanks, Fanny)

New Zealander Reinvents the Mouse

MouseAlthough it hasn’t changed much since its inception in 1964, Grant Odgers in New Zealand built what he believes to be a better mouse. He will be meeting with Microsoft and perhaps Logitech to show off his Swiftpoint. While sketchy on details, apparently the device is held between the thumb and index finger, and can be used with or without a flat surface. This sounds to us pretty close to the description of a pen, and in fact MS may be considering if it can replace those now used with its tablets. The Swiftpoint will make its debut March 4 at the CeBit in Hanover, Germany.

Write, Read, Destroy

Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Misc. Tech, Science,

Ultra-Violet Shredder PenThis ingenious device not only allows you to write last minute notes, but to destroy them as well. Use the Pen for messages that will only show up under ultra-violet light. If you are the worried that the baddies will see it, you can shred it instead of eating it. The pen comes with a message pad and batteries for £4.99 (~$10.00.) We can see this being used with other applications, such as destroying ATM slips or that extra receipt when your partner/spouse didn’t know you took that side trip to McDonalds on the way home from work.

Inkless Pen is Pencil in Disguise

Posted by Sheila Franklin Categories: Design, Misc. Tech,

Inkless PenWe rarely write anything longhand anymore, at least since spellcheck was invented. But for those of you who still do, the Inkless Pen features a metal alloy nib that will show up on printer or photocopy paper. Think of it as an a no-sharpen pencil that can’t erase. No more refills, no more smudges for left-handers. The pen is guaranteed for at least 25 years, so we think that the MSRP of $29.98 is definitely fair. Find it at Grand Illusions in its very own metal case.
