In this episode we show you how to install the Nest Learning Thermostat all on your own, using the simple instructions provided by the company in the box. Despite our love of tinkering with gadgets,It was a bit daunting to screw around with wires coming out of the wall. That said, it really is quite easy! Seriously - we've never done anything like this, ever, and were pretty unsure of ourselves, but as you see in the video, installing the Nest is a snap. As we've covered previously, the Nest Learning Thermostat monitors your temperature settings and aims to save you money by guiding you towards optimal settings, and also through its unique proximity sensors that can reduce energy consumption when it senses that no one is home. It connects to your home Wi-Fi network, and therefore it can be controlled from anywhere through the web interface or smartphone app.

nissan bring back datsun

The rumors are true; Nissan is bringing back the Datsun nameplate. Now before your mind goes into nostalgia, reminiscing about a Datsun 240z and the possibility something similar might come back, we can confirm it’s most likely not.

Nissan aims for the Datsun nameplate to play a huge role in emerging markets, such as Indonesia, India, and Russia as an affordable, yet well equipped option out the box for consumers. This is one of the primary reasons why we won't see Datsun in the States, as Nissan already achieved this with its own name. Follow the jump to read to full, yet brief, press release.

Dodge Durango PD Cruiser

For years Ford has been the staple of law enforcement, so much so that instinctually my foot would hit the brake every time I saw a Crown Victoria in my rear view. But the Crown Vic is being sent to pasture, as a new era of police cruisers is upon us.

Chrysler has been on and off in producing a wanted cruiser. It's been over 40 years since the last great era of Chrysler vehicles being used regularly for law enforcement. Now Chrysler is back in the game. Departments nationwide have widely adapted the Dodge Charger as one of their own, alongside the Chevy Tahoe for those that need a larger cruiser. It seemed that the Tahoe was set to be the next Crown Vic, at least in the SUV-category of cruiser, but not if Chrysler has a say in it.

prius c sales

Toyota is aiming for the top in hybrid sales and, in the words of Charlie Sheen, they’re winning!

Toyota has reported that it sold 8,400 units in the first ten weeks of in the U.S. market. That’s not the only vehicle they’re proud of though, as the Prius C, its smaller, more efficient, and compact hybrid has sales to boot. The Prius C sold 1,201 its first three days on sale in the U.S. AutoBlog reports, “that's enough to make it "one of Toyota's fastest-selling vehicles," according to the automaker, which also pointed out that those three days of sales is more than either the Nissan Leaf or Chevrolet Volt sold all last month.” However, these numbers are nothing compared to the Japanese market.

Toyota reports that 120,000 orders have been put in for the Prius C. Though we’re not certain as to how many were sold, it is clear that the Prius franchise is doing exceptionally well. There were almost 10,000 sales reported the first half of March in the U.S. and Toyota has projected to sell 220,000 units this year. All we got to say, is those are some impressive numbers.
