American Idol’s Pia Toscano Signs Record Deal

UPDATE: Pia Toscano has denied having a recording contract with Interscope Records, saying the deal isn’t yet finalized.
American Idol watchers were shocked on Thursday when Pia Toscano was eliminated from the competition, but there’s no reason to feel sorry for her plight. Pia has already been signed to a record deal, so she won’t have much time to miss reality TV.
Toscano has signed to Interscope Records (headed by Jimmy Iovine, the guy who dresses like he’s 20 that’s always in the studio with this year’s Idols). We’re hearing that she’s going to get in the studio immediately and get to work -- and suddenly, elimination from American Idol looks like the greatest thing ever.
The person who goes on to win the show is going to be doing what Pia’s already doing… but, they’re going to be behind.

In this week’s Ford music video, the Top 11 American Idol contestants sang “Kryptonite” and ran around cars in the rain. The group performance is not the last time they will sing together, though the reality series sent two more home the night they debuted this video. All 11 of them will be a part of Idol's summer tour.
