American Idol’s Top 4 crooned “Be Yourself” in this week’s somewhat bizarre homage to driving Ford and enjoying laser lights. Sure it’s not their best work, but the reality TV contestants are readying themselves for an exciting finale, so we’ll let it slide. In this week’s Ford music video, the Top 11 American Idol contestants sang “Kryptonite” and ran around cars in the rain. The group performance is not the last time they will sing together, though the reality series sent two more home the night they debuted this video. All 11 of them will be a part of Idol's summer tour.

Chris Medina: Too Good for American Idol?

Funny how some things work out. Chris Medina, the American Idol contestant who grabbed so much attention from viewers (and Jennifer Lopez, who broke down when she eliminated him from the show), is a bona fide recording artist.
He doesn’t have to wait around for some reality competition to finish. The day following his televised elimination from the show, Medina debuted a brand-new single on iTunes, “What Are Words,” which you can hear in the video above. The entire song is based on the gut-wrenching, heart-twisting story Medina shared with the Idol judges at his first audition for the show.
Medina’s production company is 19 Recordings. But… wait! Isn’t 19 Recordings the same company that produces all the American Idols? Now, you’re catching on.

David Cook: Don’t Forget, He Was an American Idol

American Idol has picked David Cook for its 10th season: the singer’s cover of the hit “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” is this year’s good-bye song. The iconic tune was notably featured in The Breakfast Club. Now, it will send disappointed American Idol 10 contestants away from the competition.
Cook was American Idol’s seventh season winner, and he’ll perform twice on the show this season. His version of the song will be available on iTunes on March 8.
