Anticipate More Blur Performances

Blur drummer Dave Rowntree said it’s likely the band will perform again given the success of last summer’s gigs.
When asked if they would be the last shows, he said: “I hope not. We’ve never said anything like that, that would be a crazy thing to say. I’m sure we’ll play together again, why wouldn’t we.”
“It was great, the sun was shining, I was out with my mates on the road just like the old days,” Dave said about their recent performances. “I’d die a bitter man had I not been able to play in front of hundreds of thousands of people! I don’t know why, maybe that makes me weird, maybe that’s quite selfish of me but I would.”
Rowntree also told Absolute Radio that he does not listen to the band’s old music. “Why would I do that? I listen to new music. No you don’t revisit stuff like that unless you have to do you?” he said.

Lady Gaga may have been too sick to perform at Purdue University last night, but she appeared to be in fine form less than 24 hours later.
During today’s Oprah broadcast, the singer covered a wide range of topics including her distinctive wardrobe, her love of cooking and the disaster in Haiti. Gaga even mentioned Oprah and Gandhi in the same sentence and shed a few tears for the audience.
The sit-down followed a medley of songs which included “Monster,” “Bad Romance” and “Speechless.” You can see that performance after the jump.

Lady Gaga Makes Oprah Appearance This Week

Although Oprah Winfrey is known for nabbing many exclusives, the talk show queen is finally getting caught up with the times.
To date, Lady Gaga has had numerous television interviews including sit-downs with even Jay Leno and Barbara Walters. Now this week, the “Bad Romance” will get a chance to have her outfits scrutinized by Miss Winfrey herself.
According to Oprah’s website, Lady Gaga won’t be the only hitmaker appearing on Friday’s show. Avatar director James Cameron is scheduled for a visit as well.

To kick off the official debut of her new album, Animal, singer Ke$ha performed her hit song “TiK ToK” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today.
Never heard of Ke$ha? Well, the 22-year-old is now linked to two of the hottest tracks…ever. Just last week, the singer sold 610,000 downloads of her current single—that’s the best number for any female artist in recorded history. The overall title still belongs to Flo Rida’s “Right Round” (636,000)—another song Ke$ha can be heard on.

Duet for Susan Boyle and Andrea Bocelli

Susan Boyle - whose debut album I Dreamed a Dream was the fastest-selling debut LP ever released by a woman - is planning to team up with Italian operatic legend Andrea Bocelli for a new TV talent show.
The pair will sing together on ITV1’s Pop Star to Opera Star, where pop musicians will compete against each other by singing classical arias.
“Susan has held Andrea off the top of the US charts for weeks - it’s incredible. But he holds no grudges, he joked that he ‘must sing with this amazing woman,’” a source told The Sun.
When they perform together, the pair are expected to duet on one of Grammy-nominated Andrea’s most famous songs - either “Time To Say Goodbye,” which he famously performed with Sarah Brightman, or “The Prayer,” which he sang with Celine Dion.

Does Leighton Meester Leave You Singing?

Is Leighton Meester really a hit singer wasting her time as a CW actress? Or is the Gossip Girl star just another beauty fronting an overproduced track?
Over the weekend, Meester helped kick off KISS FM’s Jingle Ball in Los Angeles. Her performance of “Somebody to Love” was coupled with a weak attempt at dancing and a strange bra-vest number.

Jennifer Lopez’s fall at last month’s American Music Awards left her with an injured derriere.
“I have a bruised bone. What happened was one of the dancers’ backs was slippery from sweat and lights and everything. We never bargained for that because they always had T-shirts on in rehearsal,” Lopez explained. “So they were bare-backed, didn’t have shirts on for the performance, and when I stepped on their backs my feet got wet. So when I landed, it just slipped from under me.”
