Lindsay Lohan’s Film Has Financing Issues

Lindsay Lohan's film Inconceivable is reportedly having trouble securing financing.

The 27-year-old actress vowed to get her life back on track after being released from rehab for the sixth time last year and has stayed sober other than one blip which was captured on her reality TV show Lindsay. Although she has cleaned up her act, it is alleged that financiers aren't still have major concerns about the Mean Girls actress due to her past reputation and are concerned she won't be reliable on set.

"There is currently no date for filming to begin on Lindsay's Inconceivable... producers are having trouble getting money for the project. There is always the problem of insuring Lindsay for movies. Her diva behavior, not showing up on time, or at times, Lindsay doesn't even arrive at all. It's very likely this movie will never get made. The only reason Inconceivable was pitched at Sundance was an attempt to garner interest and create buzz about the project. It didn't. Lindsay is currently in Europe attempting raise money for the project, but isn't having any luck," a source said.

Johnny Depp's $20 million salary dispute could lead to a lawsuit.

The actor allegedly pulled out of starring in a movie about mobster Whitey Bulger last week after he was asked to cut his eight-figure pay day in half by financiers Cross Creek and Exclusive Media, and sources indicate the contentious situation could lead to an expensive court battle.

"Either his team screwed up and left him exposed or Cross Creek is simply reneging on its deal. Someone is suing someone at the end of this," an insider said.

Johnny, 49, closed a pricey deal to star in Black Mass, however, walked away from his role on May 30 when the producers asked him to slash his fee to $10 million, fearing the picture would cost $63 million - $13 million more than the anticipated budget. The troubles don't end there, though, as producers could face trouble after selling rights to the film in international territories on the basis that the Pirates of the Caribbean actor would star. "The second they asked him to take a cut, that was a mistake. They overplayed their hand," a source said.

Brad Pitt Says Big Hollywood Pay Days Are Over

Brad Pitt says actors can longer expect to earn multi-million dollar salaries.

The 48-year-old actor insists Hollywood just doesn't have the cash to splash on its major stars at the moment due to the global financial crisis and the top actors must simply get used to the economic change. When asked if major stars could expect to earn $10 million per movie, he told the BBC, "Yeah, that thing died. That arithmetic doesn't really work right now ... that deal's not flying these days."

Despite the drop in salaries, Brad insists it is a really "interesting" time in Hollywood at the moment. The Killing Them Softly star insists the monetary challenges can bring the best out of the industry. "It's a really interesting time. A lot of the studios have been challenged because of the economic downturn as well so they've been betting on bigger, more tent pole kinds of things. At the same time that opens up a vacuum for really interesting new filmmakers to come in," he explained.
