So the current pop culture fixation on vampires (thank you, Twilight) hasn't died down, but at least we've got Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov and producer Tim Burton to thank for what looks like a promising new bloodsucker movie with a new (albeit, imaginative) retelling of one of our country's most famous presidents.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter -- based on the novel by Seth Grahame-Smith, whom you may recall also penned the bestseller Pride and Prejudice and Zombies -- plays out the revised tale in which our 16th president goes on a personal quest to eliminate as many vamps as he can after learning that they caused the deaths of his mother and grandfather.

We saw what Naomi Watts’ Marilyn Monroe looked like; now Michelle Williams has donned the short, (very) blonde hair, red lips, and overall sultry appearance the sex symbol was known for.

Williams will co-star with Emma Watson and Dominic Cooper in My Week With Marilyn, a film centered on the filming of The Prince and the Showgirl.

After a year away from live Oscars coverage, I’m thrilled to be back for the 2009 Academy Awards.

Even though Dark Knight‘s snub will probably keep a number of viewers away (how many can honestly say they’ve seen The Reader?), I’m eagerly anticipating several moments from this evening’s broadcast.

Will Heath Ledger’s family bring the house to tears? Is Mickey Rourke going to make the producers wince? Will the cameras pan to Brangelina after Jennifer Aniston’s presentation? Are Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron really (really?) going to do a song and dance number?
