Miley Cyrus' ex Actor Liam Hemsworth has joined the cast of The Expendables 2. The Hunger Games actor will play a sniper in the forthcoming blockbuster sequel, though no other details of his exact role in the film have yet been revealed.
Liam is the latest in a long line of stars to be confirmed for the cast of the action film, which will be directed by Simon West. Sylvester Stallone heads the movie, reprising his role as team leader Barney Ross, with Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews and Randy Couture also returning. In addition, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis, who made cameo appearances in the original 2010 movie, will also return, but with their roles expanded.
Other newcomers to the series include Jean-Claude Van Damme, Nicolas Cage, John Travolta and Chuck Norris. "We'll have a big showdown between me and Van Damme, which has been anticipated for a long time, so it should be a good one. We've got Chuck Norris. I think Nic Cage. We're trying to work out different scenarios. I like using people that had a moment and then maybe have fallen on some hard times and give them another shot," Stallone said.
The Expendables 2 is due in cinemas in August 2012.

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Paramount, Political, Comedy, Casting, Celeb News, Filmmaking, Upcoming Releases,
Both Megan Fox and John C. Reilly are set to appear in The Dictator.
The pair have signed up to make cameo appearances in Sacha Baron Cohen's forthcoming comedy, though the nature of their roles is being kept under wraps.
The film - which is currently being shot in New York - chronicles the story of a Middle Eastern despot who is removed from his position and flees to the US after he is replaced by a lookalike former goat herder, with both roles being played by Sacha. Sir Ben Kingsley, Jason Mantzoukas and Anna Faris are already signed up to appear in the film, which is being directed by Larry Charles.
Last week, footage emerged of Sacha - in character for the movie - being apprehended by a waiter as he stole food from a diner at New York restaurant Orsay. The comic, wearing a pink t-shirt and denim shorts, fled with a plate of food and a glass of wine, but was chased by the server and tackled to the ground. Later in the evening, he was seen in the same outfit outside a restaurant which doubles as the one his character owns in the film.

Owen Wilson is ready to reprise his role as Hansel in Zoolander 2, and he says that fans will get to see plenty of “Hansel swagger.”
Wilson starred opposite Ben Stiller in the first Zoolander, but now the enemies-turned-friends may have new competition: Lady Gaga. Wilson hinted that the pop diva could make an appearance in the film, and that “maybe she makes a good foil for Hansel.”
We’ve got reason to believe Lady Gaga is a bit of a comedienne. Just look at her outfits.

Liam Neeson has been selected to take over the tattoo artist role in Hangover 2, a cameo originally given to Mel Gibson. When some members of the cast and crew protested to Gibon’s participation in the film, a rep for both actors quickly swapped the one for the other.
The rep joked that Neeson would join the film “pending clearance of cast and crew background check.” Apparently, the Irish actor passed the test because TMZ is reporting that Neeson arrived in L.A. Saturday to begin working on the film.

Mr. T Angry Over A-Team Remake
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: 20th Century Fox, Action, Adaptation, Adventure, Political, Remakes, Thrillers, Casting, Celeb News, Celebrity Gossip, Filmmaking, New Releases, Rumors,
Mr. T has blasted The A-Team movie for being too graphic.
The actor claims the big screen adaptation is not family-friendly like the cult series he starred in as B.A. Baracus - who is played in the new film by Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson - from 1983 to 1987 and turned down a cameo role because he was unhappy with the plot.
“They offered me a cameo role but I turned it down because I knew what was coming. People die in the film and there’s plenty of sex but when we did it no one got hurt and it was all played for fun and family entertainment. These seem to be elements nobody is interested in any more. It was too graphic for me. I’ve no doubt it will do big business at the box office but it’s nothing like the show we turned out every week.”
Actor Dirk Benedict has previously spoken out about feeling “insulted” at being a handed “three second” role in the film because the producers wanted to say they had used the original cast. Dirk - whose role of Templeton “Faceman” Peck has been taken on by Bradley Cooper - said, “If you blink, you’ll miss me. I kind of regret doing it because it’s a non-part. They wanted to be able to say, ‘Oh yeah, the original cast are in it’, but we’re not. I’m on for a mere three seconds and I find that kind of insulting.”
The film comes out in theaters this Friday, June 11.

Vanessa Hudgens is looking forward to seeing High School Musical spin-off Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure.
The 21-year-old star admits she would not be going back to the musical franchise for a long-term role, but would make a cameo in the Ashley Tisdale-led movie if asked.
“If she’s like, ‘Hey!’ I’d be like, ‘OK!’, Well, she’s my best, best friend. I don’t know. I’m stoked for her and it’s going to be awesome. Kids love Sharpay and I did love Sharpay too, her costumes and her clothes and everything. It’s so much fun, so I’m really glad she’s doing it.”
Discussing the possibility of her character Gabriella Montez making a comeback, Vanessa told MTV News, “I don’t think my character has as many fun costumes as she does. So it’s not worth it.”
Shooting on Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure is due to begin this summer with a premiere in 2011.
Katy Perry Cameo Cut From Russell Brand Movie

Russell Brand’s kiss with Katy Perry has been dropped from his new movie.
The British funnyman - who reprises his Forgetting Sarah Marshall role of rocker Aldous Snow in Get Him To The Greek - locked lips with his real-life fiancee, who has a cameo in the forthcoming movie, but test audiences were bemused to find the scene had been removed and replaced by a smooch with fellow pop star Christina Aguilera instead.
A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper, “There has been a few early screenings over in the States and Katy wasn’t in it. Everyone had been waiting for the big kiss scene, but it wasn’t there. It’s the moment the big romance started. And now they are getting married - it’s like a fairytale unravelling in front of our eyes. The scene has got to get back in there.”
Katy - who started dating Russell in September, four months before they got engaged - recently admitted she was attracted to Russell as soon as they worked together on the film: “When he was filming Get Him to the Greek, I did a cameo with him. My scene called for me to make out with him. And on the way down the stairs after the scene, I was hopping like a bunny. I hop like a bunny when I’m happy - I get a bit childlike.”
Get Him To The Greek - which also sees cameos from Pink and Tom Felton - is out in theaters on June 4.
Will Johnny Depp Reprise His Jump Street Role?

Johnny Depp got his big screen break with Wes Craven’s horror flick Nightmare on Elm Street, but many 1980s TV watchers remember the first showbiz break Johnny received. Depp, then a musician-actor, was picked for the role of Tom Hanson on 21 Jump Street and immediately shot to stardom.
Now that the series is being made into a major motion picture, Depp is ready to re-claim his Hollywood roots. “I’m hoping they’re let me do a cameo,” he recently told reporters when discussing the flick. “Someone will say, ‘Whatever happened to Tom Hanson?’ And they’ll find me somewhere hoarding jars of peanut butter and shaking in my underpants.”
Sure, okay. If Johnny Depp’s on board with it, the whole thing sounds pretty great.
