Twilight Inspires Clothing Line

A Twilight-inspired clothing range is being launched.

American fashion label BB Dakota is creating the line after one of its jackets was used in the vampire film. The canvas coat, worn by Kristen Stewart‘s character Bella during a romantic scene with Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen, was not supposed to be used at all.

Twilight Boosts Pale Make-Up Sales

Twi-hards are having an effect on the beauty industry now, having set a new trend for pale make-up.

Sales of pale foundation have reportedly shot through the roof since the release of the latest film The Twilight Saga: New Moon and some cosmetic companies claim they’ve seen a 200 per cent rise in customers buying pale make-up. According to the online beauty shop FeelUnique.com, their current best-selling product is a pale pink illuminating powder by Bare Escentuals called Mineral Veil. L’Oreal have also seen their True Match powder in Rose Ivory increase in sales by 133 per cent.

Pale skin - which is now deemed a must-have look - has been seen on the face of celebrities in recent months. Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts recently launched a make-up range for paler skin. She said she’d created her range because she knew how difficult it could be to find the right sort of look with the products already out there.

“For years I felt like the ugly one in Girls Aloud. I was tall, skinny, with red hair and the whitest skin you’ve ever seen - standing next to four of the most gorgeous girls in Britain. Hopefully I can help a lot of girls out there to look their best.”

Fashion Police: Kristen Stewart Embraces Color

Usually a fan of more monochrome fare, Kristen Stewart stepped out at the London premiere of New Moon in the bold Look 20 from Proenza Schouler’s Spring/Summer ‘10 collection.

While I definitely give her the points in effort, I’m not necessarily fancying the outfit on the Twilight starlet - not only does it make her look frumpy, but her Joan Jett hair doesn’t bode well with the ensemble.

Twilight Star Goes Naked for PETA

And to think, Taylor Lautner was getting tired of being shirtless.

Christian Serratos might not be one of the big names from the Twilight series, but she’s going to be a lot more memorable now. (Maybe that was her point.)

The actress, who plays Angela in the adaptations, is just one of many stars who have stripped down for PETA’s famous “Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign. Other celebrities who have contributed their bodies to the cause include Karina Smirnoff, Steve-O, Khloe Kardashian and Joanna Krupa.

In case you have a hard time

reading the message on the ad, here it is: “Animals killed for their fur are electrocuted, drowned, beaten and often skinned alive. Please don’t wear fur.”

There is a craze going on right now for all things Twilight. It seems that the Harry Potter fans have grown up and moved onto a more romantic story of forbidden love between a vampire and a mortal. Personally, I don’t see anything romantic about an immortal being who sucks the blood from their victims, but to each his own. So to curb the desire to get your hands on any and all merchandise brandished by the faces of Edward and Bella, or Jacob, Hot Topic has a line of official Twilight clothing and merchandise from tee shirts to body shimmer. Go crazy Twilighters!
