Solange Knowles Not Working For Beyonce on Dereon

Although she adores shoes, Solange Knowles isn’t impressed with sister Beyonce’s junior clothing line.

The 24-year-old singer was the face of fashion line Dereon, which “Single Ladies” hitmaker Beyonce and her mother Tina launched in 2006, but stepped down because the outfits are something she wouldn’t normally wear.

“I initially was involved as the spokesperson, but the clothes just didn’t reflect my personal style and I decided to hand that over.”

Despite not being a fan of Beyonce’s fashion line, the mother-of-one loves the bedding collection she and Tina have done and would like to promote that: “That’s the great thing about my family. We work together so closely that if something’s not working out, we can be honest about it and there won’t be any grudges or issues. I will say though, they did just do a bedding line that I am extremely in love with and I was like, ‘Can I model that… in my house?”

Although Solange wouldn’t wear the clothes, the fashion line is very successful and Beyonce’s debut scent Heat has been a huge hit.
