Polish model Anja Rubik says yoga helps her to walk in high heels.

The 26-year-old beauty - who has taken to the catwalk for Stella McCartney, Viktor + Rolf and Jean Paul Gaultier in the past - credits the stretching exercise with helping her maintain balance.

“I’ve been practicing yoga for three years. My job involves a lot of sitting on airplanes and a lot of walking in high heels! I find yoga helps with both. It can also do amazing things physically; it keeps me fit and helps my balance and focus.”

The catwalk queen - who was recently announced as the new face of Nintendo’s Wii Yoga - also revealed she will take some time out to relax over the festive period. “I will have some time off at Christmas - we’ll have a really traditional celebration with the family.”

Anja recently shot a campaign for Fendi with designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld, as well as campaigns for H&M and Chloe.
