Reprints of the strip are still syndicated and run in almost every U.S. newspaper.”

Thank goodness it wasn’t Watchmen! [I have my copy of Peanuts #1 and will post a review shortly.]

Walking Dead Fan Utilizes Google Maps

A fan of Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead has taken it upon himself to pinpoint every major event in the series—talk about dedication!

From the major points like Julie/Chris suicide pack and Rick losing his hand to more subtle events like the “sick” zombie too weak to attack (issue #55), the map seems to have just about everything in the continuing series chronicled. I also enjoy the fact that he noted each and every sex scene—I mean, did anyone really remember or care that Axel and Patricia had sex back in issue #46?

Batman’s Secret For Stress-Free Workdays

BAT BROTH! That’s right, not your household chicken broth, “Bat Broth” is “a special mixture of nutrients designed to quickly convert to energy under conditions of internal stress.” It’s no wonder Bruce Wayne is able to run a multi-billion dollar business and moonlight as a crime fighter, when he has the modern businessman’s ultimate remedy.

I found out Bruce Wayne’s secret soup at the The Great Batman Equipment Archive. The site takes a comprehensive look into the Dark Knight’s “utility belt” of tricks; highlighting Batman’s inventory from comics, video games, RPGs, films, scripts, books, websites, and TV shows. Most common items are Batman’s tried and true “Batarang”, “Grapple Gun”, cape and cowl, but you’ll be surprised to learn about other items (Besides “Bat Broth”) the caped crusader carried with him from time to time.

San Diego Comic Con 2009: Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba

richer people in this world (myself not included, very much to my dismay), you are probably attending this year’s San Diego Comic Con at the end of the month. Due to my masochism, I’ll be aiding you in your panel and booth decisions.

DC Comics’ Booster Gold Is Still Great!

I’ve been reading comics on and off for almost 25 years.  I began as a “Marvel Zombie.”  For those not familiar with that term, it means that I only read Marvel comics.  That however all changed in 1989 with the release of the first Tim Burton “Batman” movie and then decided to start reading Batman, the comic book.  The first issue I picked up was Batman #433.  That was part one of John Byrne’s “The Many Deaths of Batman.”  This was a “silent issue” meaning no dialogue or captions were printed to help tell the story - only pictures.  I do believe Gordon said one word, but overall it was silent issue and I was hooked. 

As time passed, I began reading other DC titles.  I loved the “Death of Superman” storyline and Mark Waid made me love Wally West and the Flash.  Then came James Robinson’s Starman.  That book is the bible to me.  I love that book so much, I got a tattoo of the Starman symbol on my left shoulder.  I stopped reading comics for a while, but I found my way back and I’ve been reading comics again for about six or seven years now - mostly DC books, by the way. 

And one of those books is Booster Gold.
