Will Ferrell: I’m a Middle-Aged One Direction
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Features,
Will Ferrell claims he's a middle-aged version of One Direction.
The popular comedian feels akin to the British boy band because he has started to induce hysteria among teenage fans whenever he goes out in public. "We had gone out to dinner, and by the time we had left the restaurant, there was a mob of high-school kids outside. There was a panel that blocked part of the window and they were jumping up trying to look. I'm a 46-year-old version of One Direction. All five of them packed into one middle-aged guy," he joked, recalling one particular incident in Seattle.
The loud-mouthed star - who is returning to screens as hapless newsreader Ron Burgundy in the sequel to cult comedy Anchorman - insists he wasn't always so confident and used to be a painfully shy child: "I was extremely shy. I had to meet everyone and until I was comfortable with everyone. I didn't say a word. Once I got to speak, everyone saw my true colors. And it'd be like, 'Wait, you're funny!' It's not that I lacked confidence. I never felt the need to impress anyone, but I wanted to feel that I belonged."

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Television, Break-ups,

The Everything Must Go star appeared on TV talk show Conan and "broke down" over the actress' split from Robert Pattinson - whom she first me on the set of vampire franchise The Twilight Saga.
When host Conan O'Brien asked a forlorn Will what was wrong with him the comedy actor jokingly opened his heart over his feelings about Kristen's affair with her Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. In what appeared to be a spoof of super-fan Nutty Madam's tearful video post about Kristen's cheating, he said, "I don't know if you follow the news at all, but there's this actress, Kristen Stewart and she goes by K-Stew, and she had a boyfriend Robert Pattinson - he's R-Patz - and she cheated on him. And they've broken up, they're not going to get back together, ever. What they had was so special Conan, you don't even know what they had, they were in love and she just threw it all away."

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies,
Will Ferrell's new Spanish language film ipays "homage" to his Spanish teachers.
The comedian speaks entirely in Spanish in Casa de mi Padre, and tried particularly hard to make his accent and phrasing realistic.
"This is all an homage to all my former Spanish teachers to show them that I was listening. I was paying attention. I wanted my Spanish to be as good as it could be - I didn't want the joke to just be that I was speaking bad Spanish," he said.
In the film Will plays a rancher who falls in love with his brother's fiancee, and discovers he has been using shady business practices, landing the family in trouble with a drug baron. Will added it was a good opportunity for him to make fun of a few stereotypes as well as take off Mexican soap operas:

Will Ferrell scored laughs and applause when he appeared on the Comic-Con stage in a blue costume with a large domed head early Thursday morning.

Will the Real Will Ferrell Please Start Tweeting?
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Movies, Rumors,
“There are at least four fake Will Ferrell pages, none of which are actually him.” With these words, Ferrell’s publicist put a halt to the rumors that the comedian is behind several tongue-in-cheek jabs recently aimed at Paramount through Twitter, the popular micro-blogging site.
Ever since the studio put the nix on the planned Anchorman 2 project, certain gems such as “To all who are upset about us not green lighting Anchorman 2, we at Paramount say screw you! We have more reboots to fund instead!” and “To all writers looking to pitch any original movie ideas to us, please submit them to the nearest garbage can in your vicinity,” have surfaced on Twitter. But the rumors that Will Ferrell created them are, we’re told, not true.
According to Ferrell publicist Matt Laboy, “Will Ferrell himself does not have a Twitter page, not does he have anything to do with this Paramount page in any way, shape or form.” According to an interview with Ferrell conducted last year, the actor was scared away from Twitter when fans criticized his Tweets for not being funny enough. If Will Ferrell had created any Tweets to sucker-punch Paramount, he probably would have done it as George W. Bush.

Tracy Morgan Disses Former SNLers in New Book
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Television, Rivalries,

This Thursday’s return of 30 Rock isn’t the only thing Tracy Morgan fans should be looking forward to. Next week’s release of the comedian’s new book, I Am the New Black, promises to give us more backstage group than the fictional NBC program could provide.
In the autobiography, Morgan talks about his years on Saturday Night Live and is more than candid about those he liked and disliked. Part of what can be heard on an audio recording of the book is apparently an ad-libbed version of what is on the page. Either way, you might not think about former late-night players Cheri Oteri and Chris Kattan the same way again.
