Tori Spelling Lied About Baby Weight Loss

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: D-List, Television, Pregnancies,

Tori SpellingTori Spelling lied about her weight loss after giving birth.

The 40-year-old actress has admitted she wasn't honest about how she shed the pounds following the birth of her son Finn in August 2012, revealing she severely restricted her food intake rather than taking up exercise like she previously claimed. In April, Tori said she had taken up low-impact cardio and a healthy diet of fish and vegetables, but in her new autobiography Spelling It Like It Is, she wrote, "I really don't exercise much, period. So I took off my weight the old-fashioned way. I like to call it the 'Just Keep Your F**king Mouth Shut and Eat Air' diet. It's all the rage. My publicist had given me clear instructions about what to say about my weight loss. Women didn't want to know that I had lost weight through dieting, not exercising. I didn't want to be the a**hole who didn't work for it. So I said that I swam. It was sort of a bad choice. I can't do much more than a doggy paddle."

The actress - who also has son Liam, six, and daughters Stella, five, Hattie, two, with husband Dean McDermott - previously said she had taken up swimming to help lose weight and had substituted her husband's home cooked meals with lean sushi.

Snooki Hated Being Pregnant

SnookiSnooki thinks that pregnancy is "disgusting."

The former Jersey Shore star - who has a seven-month-old son Lorenzo with her fiance Jionni LaValle - claims that she loves motherhood but hated being pregnant, describing it as "hell." When asked if anything has surprised her about becoming a mother, the 25-year-old reality star told gossip website TMZ.com, "I wouldn't say motherhood. I would say pregnancy because everybody makes it so glamorous and cute but it's hell. It's disgusting, I hate it but the reward is awesome."

But Snooki, who has lost 42 pounds since giving birth to her first child in August, insisted that her experience hasn't put her off having more children in the future: "I want one right now but it's just not the right time. I want to try to plan this one."

The petite brunette star also doesn't care about putting on weight again if she gets pregnant. "It's not even that. I need a house first. I still live in Jionni's parents' basement," she said.

Zooey Deschanel Slams Skinny Actresses

Zooey DeschanelZooey Deschanel thinks that Hollywood stars are too thin. The New Girl actress isn't a fan of the recent trend of stick thin actresses and thinks many of her contemporaries look "much, much too skinny."

In an interview for the February 2013 issue of Glamour, she said, "Actresses have definitely gotten thinner over the course of my lifetime. Women I admired growing up - Debra Winger, Diane Keaton, Meryl Streep--were all beautiful and thin, but not too thin. There are a lot of actresses who are unhealthy-skinny - much, much too skinny. You can't Pilates to that. I'm a very small person, and if I lost 15 pounds, I'd look like them; it's scary. For young girls, what does that say? You need to look this way to be successful? That's not true. You do not need to look or be anorexic to be successful in Hollywood. The range of what's acceptable is larger than what people believe."

Zooey also revealed her parents and grandparents are her relationship idols:

Jared Leto: Fasting Isn’t Bad

Jared Leto, photographed by Terry RichardsonJared Leto is hoping to achieve a "meditative state" by fasting.

The 40-year-old singer-and-actor was cast as a transsexual woman in new movie Dallas Buyer's Club - for which co-star Matthew McConaughey has dramatically lost a huge amount of weight - and is taking his diet to the extreme to look right for the role, though he admits it has sparked some "weird" effects on his body.

"I'm playing a transsexual woman. I didn't get involved in the project until three and a half weeks ago. Your body goes through weird stages (when fasting). Sometimes it's hard to hold on to water. But for me, it's not about the most weight I can lose, it's more to represent the character. I'm focused on what it means to be a transsexual woman. Historically, people have done it for pursuit of self, to achieve a meditative state, so I'm hoping for that, and not the other things. It's not necessarily a bad thing," he told Vulture.

Cory Monteith and Lea MicheleCory Monteith has lost 20lbs thanks to his girlfriend. The Glee actor dropped the weight he gained earlier this year thanks to some encouraging words of advice from his co-star and girlfriend Lea Michele.

"When he brought Lea home to meet his family they were making fun of him in front of her. She's tell him she loves him no matter what but it was bothering him and he did something about it. She's vegan and eats organic and she totally changed his eating habits. He's exercising too. He loves the way he looks now," a source told In Touch.

Quote of the Day: Tia Mowry on Losing Pregnancy Weight

Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Television, Pregnancies,

Tia Mowry

"I was shocked that my belly didn't completely go down. I was so used to seeing so many women in the media flaunting their bodies 4 weeks after having a baby -- and kudos to those who have genes that they can get right back into shape 2 weeks, 4 weeks after having a baby. But that never happened to me, and I remember going to my doctor asking why. 'Why didn't my belly go down right away?' And she was like, 'Tia, it takes up to a year.' So, I wish somebody would have been honest with me about that."

Kanye Encourages Kim to Lose Weight

Kim Kardashian and Kanye WestKanye West wants his girlfriend Kim Kardashian to lose weight.

The "Mercy" rapper is said to have urged the reality TV star - who is famous for her curvy figure - to slim down and shed up to 20 pounds. Kanye thinks his good friend Beyonce - who gave birth to her first child Blue Ivy last January - has a better body than his girlfriend of six months and is encouraging her to follow the singer's grueling Dreamgirls diet, according to OK!.

"He even suggested Kim drop 20 pounds, arguing that Beyonce has a similar shape and she proved you can get that supermodel body using her lemon juice, cayenne pepper and maple syrup diet. He says he wants her to be the face of his clothing line... but to do that she has to fit into the clothes. It's really uncomfortable - her shape is what made her name. He has a long-term fantasy of turning them into the new Beyonce and Jay-Z power couple, but getting Kim to starve isn't the way to do it," a source close to the couple said.

Kelly Osbourne Is Glad She’s Not Moss or Kardashian

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Television, Child Stars, Features,

Kelly OsbourneKelly Osbourne wouldn't want to be as pretty as Kim Kardashian or Kate Moss.

The Fashion Police host thinks there is too much pressure on beautiful women to maintain their looks and thinks it is important for everyone to stop comparing themselves to other people.

"Women are so unforgiving of themselves. We don't recognize our own beauty, because we're too busy comparing ourselves to other people. No, we are not all Gisele Bundchen or Beyonce Knowles but I can tell you even the most beautiful girls in the world have felt insecure. Just seeing the pressure my friends Kim Kardashian and Kate Moss are under makes me never want to be the prettiest in the room. There is no such thing as perfection. Try this; look in the mirror. Find one thing you like... think, 'Well, I've got this, and a lot of people don't.' You have to look at what you do have."
