Braison and Miley CyrusMiley Cyrus' brother nearly died after a tonsillectomy.

Braison, 18, had his tonsils removed on July 5 and was released from the hospital, but his horrified mother Tish Cyrus has revealed he started haemorrhaging over a week later and doctors struggled to save him.

"After five kids I have seen it all. But I had never seen anything like this. It was just crazy. They did it in a surgery center and released him. The doctor said everything went great and sent us home. And then on the seventh day after surgery he had some bleeding. It scared him but it wasn't a lot. I called the doctor and spoke to a nurse. They said it was totally normal, just scabs coming off and there will be some bleeding, and said don't panic. But if there is a steady stream of blood that is not normal. Then on day nine he woke himself up because he felt something running down his throat."

Julia Roberts is Protective of Adele

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Music,

AdeleJulia Roberts has issued a strong warning to any man wishing to date Adele. The Pretty Woman actress is a huge fan of the "Someone Like You" singer and has threatened to harm her next boyfriend if her treats her badly.

"Anybody that's going to date her is a brave, brave man. You're going to get a whole lot of love, but you'd better treat her right, or we're all coming after you," she told Entertainment Weekly. Julia says the reason Adele, 23, has become a worldwide star is because people can relate to her and the pain and heartache she's going through: "Adele's music is so personal that you get invested in her life. When Adele had her health scare, I had random people saying to me, 'Oh my God, did you hear about Adele?' We feel like Adele's in our book club or she lives near us - that's a gift, to make people feel that way."

Meanwhile, Adele - who recently underwent throat surgery - has revealed she is going to take a couple of years to work on her third album, following the huge success of 19 and 21. "I imagine I'll be 25 or 26 by the time my next record comes out, as I haven't even thought about my third record yet. I'm just going to lay some concrete, set up home and just be for a bit. I'll disappear and come back with a record when it's good enough."

Giuliana Rancic and her husbandGiuliana Rancic is to undergo a double mastectomy. The E! News presenter - who revealed she was suffering from the early stages of breast cancer in October - has decided to opt for the procedure after a double lumpectomy failed to fully remove cancerous growths in both breasts and her lymph nodes.

"To be honest, all it came down to was choosing to live and not looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life. It could have come back more aggressively next time, so for me it was just more important to get the cancer out. With the double mastectomy I now have less than one per cent chance of getting it back, otherwise it was 20, 30 or 40 per cent chance and for me it wasn't worth it," she explained on The Today Show.

The 36-year-old star - who made a pros and cons list to decide whether to undergo the procedure - also praised her entrepreneur husband Bill, admitting her cancer battle has made the couple stronger: "Bill said to me, 'I just need you around for the next 50 years, kid. I don't care about the physical portion of this, so let's just get you healthy.' Bill's been the world to me through this, he brought some laughter to the process and reminded me who we are as a couple. It's made us stronger. I couldn't be more at peace with the decision. I still break down some nights when it's quiet in bed, it's easy to just start crying and be very sad, but I'm OK."

I’m surprised she waited until after her Playboy shoot to do this.

On November 20, the 23-year-old reality star decided to go under the knife once again. This time around, she opted to do a total of ten surgeries in ten hours. Why? “I would say the reason is to feel better, to feel perfect,” she told People magazine. “I am obsessed with plastic surgery and with maintaining my looks.”

Stunts Led Rose McGowan to Extensive Surgery

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies,

Rose McGowan as Red SonjaWhile she may have lost a leg on screen, Rose McGowan has now lost the use of her arm after too many fight scenes off screen.

The Red Sonja actress, whose action-movie credits also include Scream and Grindhouse, has revealed that starring in extensive stunt sequences caused elbow and wrist damage which could only be treated with extensive surgery.

“I had wrist and elbow surgery and they took part of my elbow out. I had really bad nerve damage from doing stunts—I do a lot of my own stunts. I could no longer use my arm, but now I can hold a fork and drive so we’re working our way up. It’ll probably be another six months of rehab, but it’s the price you pay for being really limber and being able to do back flips!”

The 36-year-old star’s injury has brought a halt to production of comic book adaptation Red Sonja, in which she plays the title character who is described as a “she-devil with a sword,” but she is hopeful to return to set soon.
