Conrad Murray: Ordered to Stand Trial for Michael Jackson Manslaughter
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Child Stars, Legal Issues,
His legal defense seemed a little shaky from the word go.
Dr. Conrad Murray, the physician who cared for pop star Michael Jackson during the singer’s final days, has been ordered to stand trial for involuntary manslaughter. Murray claimed that Jackson injected himself with a lethal dose of Propofol, but the judge has ruled that Murray's case will continue.
Meanwhile, Murray has been stripped of his medical license. Members of the Jackson family (Katherine, Janet, La Toya, Jackie, Jermaine and Marlon) were present during last week’s hearing, which ended in the current ruling. “I’m happy so far,” said La Toya of the events.
Testimony in the hearing took six days, where more than 20 witnesses were heard for the prosecution. No witnesses were called for the defense during the hearing.

Janet Jackson Broke Down Before VMA Performance
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Television, Meltdowns,
Janet Jackson said the realization of her brother Michael’s passing only hit her three months after his death.
The “Make Me” singer said she had avoided everything that could remind her of her brother after he suddenly passed away in June, until she was about to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards in September, when she saw a huge picture in tribute to him.
Janet, 43, said, “It hit me before I was about to do the performance, and it hit me when we were in rehearsal. There was a huge image of him on this screen, and I started to cry. I had to step away.”
She also said that she is continuing to come to terms with the singer’s death, of acute intoxication by the anesthetic Propofol, but that she feels in future things will get easier.
She added, “You know, a day doesn’t go by where you don’t think about him. It’s always there, in every sense. “But it will get better. It’s not easy, but I know with time it will get easier. But it will never be easy. It’s my brother.”
Michael Jackson’s Last Wishes
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Drugs, Meltdowns,
It has been revealed that Michael Jackson wrote a series of “wishes for the world” the day he died.
The late pop star left several motivational, handwritten notes in his bathroom before he passed away to help mentally prepare him for his London “This Is It” shows.
A source told Britain’s News of the World: “These notes show that Michael was positive until the last—but also what a mess his mind must have been as he fought to keep it all together towards the end.”
One of the notes read, “I am so grateful that I am a magnet for miracles.” The phrase “magnet for miracles” is one often used by self-help programs for recovering alcoholics, and it is believed regular repetition could improve your success of beating addiction.
Another note pinned to his mirror read, “Love, no violence ever! Remember a beautiful future promise of tomorrow.”
Friends of the late King of Pop’s say these words show he was positive, happy, and upbeat in his final days: “I think this reveals how positive Michael was until the last. He was such a sweet natured man who saw the good in everyone. The note about a beautiful future is especially sad as it shows he was looking forward to a successful, happy life.”

Report: Michael Jackson Death Ruled Homicide
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Music, Drugs, Legal Issues,
Despite the Los Angeles Police Department’s attempt to keep Michael Jackson’s autopsy results under wraps, an Associated Press source has confirmed the rumors: the singer’s death was a homicide.
According to a search warrant affidavit unsealed today, the King of Pop’s death was a result of lethal levels of the drug propofol (a.k.a. Diprivan). In the 32-page document, Dr. Conrad Murray revealed that he had been administering 50 mg of the drug nightly to help Jackson sleep. This routine went on for approximately six weeks. Fearing Michael would become addicted, other drugs were later introduced by Murray just days prior to June 25th.
On the morning of his death, Jackson was given another 25 mg of propofol “after repeated demands/requests.”

Michael Jackson Doc Thanks His Supporters
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Legal Issues, Videos, Rumors, Where Are They Now?,
Dr. Conrad Murray has become the most infamous name in the Michael Jackson investigation. A frequent target for DEA raids in the course of the investigation, Murray is believed to have administered Propofol to Jackson. This could have caused the singer’s untimely death. No formal charges have been brought against Murray.
He’s now posted a YouTube video, ostensibly because he is “afraid to return phone calls or use my email.” In his message, the doctor thanks patients and friends for the supportive messages they’ve been sending. “Your messages give me strength and courage and keep me going. They mean the world to me.”

Michael Jackson’s Cause of Death Determined
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Music, Celebrity Babies, Child Stars, Legal Issues,
The LA County Coroner’s office has concluded its investigation into the mysterious death of pop superstar Michael Jackson. They now know what killed the singer…they just aren’t telling anyone.
The police department for Los Angeles has put a hold on the case for security purposes, which means the results of Michael Jackson’s autopsy can’t be fully disclosed as of yet. Before Jackson’s human remains can be properly put to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery, the death certificate must be changed to reflect the correct cause of death and a burial permit must be obtained. Since details cannot yet be made public, this, too, might be on hold until more is revealed in the case.
What’s the purpose of withholding the information? Look for the police to make an arrest soon, or otherwise further their criminal investigation into the case.
