Chris Brown Receives Death Threats

Chris Brown has received death threats.

The R&B singer's lawyer Mark Geragos has asked the Los Angeles Police Department to investigate several anonymous calls made to his office, which he believes could pose a serious danger to the singer's safety.TMZ claims Mark immediately reported the threats to the LAPD, who are currently investigating the matter. It is not yet known what specific comments were made.

Mark represented the "With You" singer during his own police ordeal in 2009, when he was arrested for assaulting his on-off girlfriend Rihanna. Chris, 24, is still on probation for the incident, and was accused in February not completing the 180 days of community service ordered when he pleaded guilty to the charges.

Meanwhile, the singer called off his turbulent romance with Rihanna earlier this month after a public Twitter war. Although friends believe the fiery couple will get back together, Chris is said to have been spending time with his ex-girlfriend, model Karrueche Tran. "He's been initiating contact with her, not the other way around. I wouldn't say Karrueche and Chris are together but they are talking and kicking it," an insider recently explained.

The man who Lindsay Lohan allegedly struck with her Porsche last week is demanding at least $100,000 from her.

Lawyer Mark Geragos - working for his client Thaer Kamal - has reportedly contacted the Mean Girls actress' legal representative Shawn Holley claiming to have video evidence of Lindsay striking Thaer before getting out of the driver's side of the car, wobbling and getting into the passenger seat, where the passenger then takes over the wheel.

However, sources who were at the scene at the time have told TMZ.com it did not happen. His lawyer has made it clear he has not yet gone to police and had an interview, and gave Lindsay's camp until yesterday to pay - it is not known if she has. Thaer also reportedly told people at the scene he was not injured but changed his mind when he heard the troubled star was the one behind the wheel.

Lindsay hit out at the accusation she had "scraped" someone with her car last week on Twitter.

The drama for Rihanna and Chris Brown continues one day after their Grammy Awards cancellations. Here is where things stand at this point:

• The $50,0000 bail Chris posted might not be the only financial hit the singer takes. Although the company has not completely severed ties with the 19-year-old, Wrigley has decided to pull the Doublemint Gum commercials featuring Brown. (Too bad they missed the one that actually aired during the Grammys yesterday.) A company spokesman told Us that they are waiting to see how things play out. “We believe Mr. Brown should be afforded the same due process as any citizen,” the rep explained.
