Lindsay Lohan Hits Back at Paparazzo

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan claims she is not responsible for a paparazzo being hit by her car.

Photographer Grigor Baylan claims he was run over by a car being driven by Lindsay's assistant in January 2010 when the actress was trying to make a quick departure from a Hollywood nightclub, but Lindsay insists it was his own fault. Gossip website TMZ reports Lindsay claims Mr. Balyan "carelessly put himself near a moving automobile" and caused his own injuries and she shouldn't have to pay anything.

The photographer's lawyer, Neil Steiner, previously said that the actress was being targeted in the case because her assistant was at the wheel and operating under her instruction. Mr. Steiner said he had contacted Lindsay's insurance company to settle the claim but they only made an "insignificant offer." The lawyer insisted he was only seeking "reasonable compensation" for his client, who received hospital treatment following the incident.

Russell BrandRussell Brand will be charged for throwing a photographer's iPhone through a window.

The British actor hurled the paparazzo's cell phone at a glass window in New Orleans in March, and the city's Parish District Attorney's office has decided to move forward with the case and charge him for misdemeanor criminal damage today.

Russell could face up to six month in jail if he is convicted of the offense. He has already hired a lawyer to deal with the case.

Speaking at the time of the incident earlier this year, Russell joked he did what he did because he had been upset at the misuse of the iPhone following the death of Apple founder Steve Jobs. "Since Steve Jobs died I cannot bear to see anyone use an iphone irreverently, what I did was a tribute to his memory. (sic)" he wrote on Twitter.

In the lawsuit for wrongful termination, wage and breach of contract lawsuit, Jessica - who is also writing a tell-all book about her time with Courtney, provisionally titled Get Me a Xanax - doesn't specify what her employer needed a hacker for, or what documents she was asked to alter.

In the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, she also claims she typically worked more than 60 hours a week for the star while she was employed from June 2010 to July 2011, but had to quit when Courtney wouldn't pay her properly. She is seeking unspecified damages.

Scarlett Johansson Should Get $66K For Hacking

Scarlett JohnassonScarlett Johansson should be paid $66,719.49 in restitution by admitted hacker Christopher Chaney.

According to the sentencing recommendation filed by the US State's Attorney's Office, the Avengers actress is entitled to that amount after having her privacy invaded.

The federal court recommended only $7,500 for Christina Aguilera who was also a victim when naked images were obtained by Christopher. The Voice judge's amount came about because although her email was hacked, she never had to deal with a website posting her nude photographs like Scarlett.

However, the state's attorney finds it "unlikely," given his employment record, that the hacker will be able to "repay any significant amount to the victims." Therefore, they are also asking for a "high-end" prison sentence of 71 months. Apparently he took naked images of Christina from her stylist's email account and Scarlett's from emails she sent to her then husband Ryan Reynolds.

John TravoltaJohn Travolta is being sued by an author who claims the actor tarnished his reputation.

Robert Randolph wrote You'll Never Spa In This Town Again, in which he makes claims the Pulp Fiction actor enjoyed gay sexual relations in Los Angeles' City Spa in the 1990s. His lawsuit claims John and his lawyer Marty Singer had falsely claimed he had serious mental problems and had spent time in a psychiatric hospital, to try and make him out to be an unreliable source and prevent other media and booksellers writing about or carrying his tome.

Both John, 58, and Marty have issued statements branding the lawsuit "ridiculous."

"The lawsuit filed by Robert Randolph is absurd. The suit is based on a privileged communication, and it will promptly be thrown out by the court. To evaluate the credibility of Robert Randolph and his ridiculous lawsuit one need look no further than his own statements published on his website stating that he sustained 'permanent brain damage' and had to 'retrain' his brain," a representative to the actor said.
