George Clooney Compares Himself to Elizabeth Taylor

George Clooney has compared himself to Elizabeth Taylor.
The Ides of March actor was arrested for civil disobedience in Washington last week alongside his journalist father Nick and other protesters after a demonstration outside the Sudanese Embassy and George says he learned from an early age that celebrities are more newsworthy than humanitarian crises.
"I saw my father in the 1970s doing really good stories and then getting bumped because there was a Liz Taylor story that was going to be out. And the story that he did that had real some social value was going to get bumped. I said to my dad, 'Remember how you used to get all your stories bumped by Liz Taylor or something happened in Hollywood?' And he said, 'Yes.' I said, 'Well, let's go to Darfur. And you be the newsman and I'll be Liz Taylor and let's get it on the air.' And he said, 'OK,'" he told Fox News on Sunday.
George is trying to draw attention to the accusation that Sudan's president, Omar al-Bashir, is provoking a humanitarian crisis and blocking food and aid from entering the Nuba Mountains from South Sudan and admitted he had some close calls when he travelled to the country to film the atrocities.

VIDEO: Sarah Palin Votes Yes for Donald Trump Investigation
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Television, Legal Issues, Videos,
During a recent appearance on Justice with Judge Jeanine (it’s on Fox News), Sarah Palin said that she agrees with Donald Trump and supports his birther investigation. You can hear her comments in the video above.
Trump has publicly attacked President Barack Obama, demanding to see his birth certificate, because evidently he watched a lot of Fox News during the 2008 election. Sarah Palin, whose party lost the election, was quick to take his side. She appreciates “that the Donald wants to spend his resources on something that so interests him and so many Americans.”

Former Sarah Palin Aide Pens Scathing Tell-All
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Rumors,

This is going to be good.
Frank Bailey, a past aide to politician and sometime reality star Sarah Palin, has written a tell-all book that sheds a very harsh light on his former boss. Some segments have been leaked, probably because they’re just too juicy to contain.
According to rumor, the book begins with a quote from Palin: “I hate this job,” referring to her post as Alaska’s governor before she resigned in 2009. And that's just the first page, people.

Joan Rivers vs. Sarah Palin and FOX
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Television, Rivalries, Rumors,

Attention talk show bookers: don’t make Joan Rivers angry. You won’t like her when she’s angry.
After being abruptly canceled from a scheduled appeared on Fox & Friends, which came on the heels of Rivers making a few comments about one Sarah Palin, the gloves came off and the claws came out.
Rivers previously said that Palin should “go to another planet,” and sided with critics who blame the Tucson shooting on the former Alaska governor.
According to Joan, she and daughter Melissa Rivers were canceled from this Thursday’s Fox & Friends shortly after she made those comments. Judy Katz, who represents Rivers, said she received a call from one of the show’s booking producers. Katz claims the producer told her that Rivers was getting the boot from the Friendly program because of the comments she made about Sarah Palin.

Sarah Palin: No Alaska for Hot New Media Star
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Television, Rumors, Where Are They Now?,
Sarah Palin came onto the election scene much later than John McCain, President-elect Barack Obama or Vice President-elect Joe Biden - but she instantly became the media’s favorite contender. New gossip suggests that Palin may not pack her bags to head back home right away…she just might have some gigs lined up in Tinseltown first.
A spokesman for Random House (one of the biggest publishing houses in the biz) told the New York Post’s Page Six that “there are several of our imprints who are eager to talk to Governor Palin. She clearly has a constituency and we know books by conservatively-centered politicos usually sell very, very well.” So she might as well take more jobs away from the real writers of the world.
Other gossip hints that Palin could be offered a slot as a TV pundit (I’ve got money riding on this one - I just know FOX News Channel would do damn near anything to have her) or even as a talk-show host.
Sure, that makes sense.

Entertaining Politics
Posted by K.C. Morgan Categories: Rivalries, Videos, Editorials,

Politicians are not celebrities. Celebrities are not politicians. ...Or, are they? The fur is really starting to fly in the election. Presidential candidate John McCain has likened Barack Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton. Rappers who support Obama have released tracks dissing John McCain. What happens when politics and celebrity mix? Nothing good.
In one of his political ads, McCain seems to be trying to undermine Obama as a presidential contender - calling him a star instead of the vehicle of change Obama claims to be. It isn’t odd for politicians to use celebrities to further their own cause, and it isn’t even odd for celebrities to decide to become politicians.
So maybe it’s even the norm for celebrities and politics to mix…but should they? Sometimes, celebs can do much more harm than good when they back a certain candidate.
