Lindsay Lohan Told to Pay Back Money

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Legal Issues, Parties,

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan has been asked to pay back part of an appearance fee after turning up late.

The Mean Girls actress was reportedly paid over $50,000 to host a Halloween party at Foxwoods casino in Connecticut on Thursday, but the event organizers are attempting to claim back some of her generous payday because she was more than 90 minutes late and didn't honor the full extent of her duties.

According to TMZ, Lindsay was due to arrive at 10pm local time, but only showed up at 11:43pm. The 27-year-old star also refused to walk the red carpet, where she was expected to pose for photographers and meet with some lucky fans, and went straight inside the venue. Lawyers for the establishment are now hoping to renegotiate their contract with the actress because they feel she didn't uphold their agreement.

However, eyewitnesses say Lindsay and co-host, boxer Floyd Mayweather, did a great job hosting a Halloween costume contest on stage. Floyd, who was reportedly paid the same amount as the Liz & Dick star, also arrived late but made up for his tardiness by meeting with fans, signing autographs and taking photos. Lindsay appeared in fancy dress at the event, styling herself as classic horror character Carrie White from the movie Carrie.

Denise Richards Has Cared for Brooke Mueller’s Twins for a Year

Brooke Mueller and Denise Richards with their kidsDenise Richards has been raising Brooke Mueller's kids for over a year.

The 42-year-old actress was granted temporary legal guardian for her ex-husband Charlie Sheen and Brooke's twin sons, Bob and Max, when child protective services removed them from the socialite's home last month. However, it has now emerged Denise - who has two daughters, Lola, eight, and Sam, nine, with Charlie - has actually spent far more time with the four-year-old boys than Brooke herself over the last nine months, due to her struggles with drug addiction.

"'Initially, Brooke willingly placed the boys in Denise's care because she was going in and out of rehab, and using drugs. Child protective services has now asked Denise to give specific dates that she had been taking care of the twins, in advance of a big custody hearing in July. The boys have spent more time with Denise than with their own biological mother for the last nine months. The boys are a part of Denise's family, and they are extremely happy in her care," a source said.

Lauryn Hill Agrees to Vacate Mansion

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Music, Legal Issues,

Lauryn HillLauryn Hill has finally agreed to vacate her mansion.

The former Fugees singer is leaving her New Jersey mansion following a long-standing argument with her landlords over unpaid rent. The 37-year-old star was hit with the lawsuit in March, and appears to have complied with the terms, agreeing to pay $7,000 in rent and vacate by May 31, according to TMZ.

Lauren won't have to worry about finding a new house in the immediate future, as she has been ordered by a court in the same state to report to prison for tax evasion by July 8. Lauryn will also have to spend three months under house arrest as well as nine months of supervised release, after pleading guilty in 2012 to three counts of tax evasion for failing to file returns on $1.8 million she earned from 2005 to 2007.

The "Ready Or Not" singer argued in court at the time she shouldn't be judged so harshly, claiming her six children and charity commitments meant she couldn't return to making music in order to repay her debts: "I needed to be able to earn so I could pay my taxes, without compromising the health and welfare of my children."

Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore’s $10 Million Battle

Demi MooreAshton Kutcher and Demi Moore are locked in a battle over $10 million. The former couple - who announced their split in November 2011 - have yet to finalize their divorce as they are still in negotiations over a settlement, and the actress is reportedly asking for an eight-figure sum due to Ashton's involvement in a venture capital fund worth $100 million.

The Two and a Half Men star announced his new technology start-up investment firm A-Grade, which is a partnership with Madonna's manager Guy Oseary and billionaire Ron Burkle, earlier this month with an estimated value of $100 million and Demi believes she is entitled to a piece of the actor's newfound fortune. However, Ashton - who owns 20 per cent of the company - insists his profits from the company aren't communal as he made his millions after their split.

"Ashton and Demi are still not divorced and no settlement has been agreed, even though they have been in negotiations for over a year. Ashton made a lot of money after they married, but he doesn't believe he owes her as much as she is asking for," a source told The New York Post.
