Paul Walker Was Speeding at Over 100mph at Time of Crash

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Obituaries,

Paul WalkerPaul Walker was traveling at over 100 miles per hour when the car he was in crashed.

The Fast and the Furious star died alongside his friend, Roger Rodas - who was driving - when their Porsche crashed and burst into flames in Santa Clarita, California on November 30.

A new report from the Los Angeles County Coroner released yesterday notes Roger was driving at an "unsafe speed" on the road - which has a designated limit of 45 miles per hour - and lost control of the car "for unknown reasons." After the car crashed into a tree and a lamp post "the vehicle was almost split in half ... the majority of the vehicle was also charred" by the fire which followed.

The report also states neither Roger, 38, nor Paul, 40, had alcohol, cocaine, marijuana or other impairing drugs in their systems. It has previously been found Paul died from a combination of traumatic and thermal injuries. The report also said the actor had been in a "pugilistic" stance at the time of the crash, meaning he had braced for impact.

Chris Pine

"No, f--- no. What am I going to tweet about? My sneakers? Or, 'I have 140,000 friends on Facebook.' What does that even mean? I find it to be a waste of time. The Internet is so caustic; just a place where people get to spew nonsense and bullsh--."

Ricky Martin Wishes He Could Come Out Again

Ricky MartinRicky Martin wishes he could come out as homosexual again.

The "Livin' La Vida Loca" singer claims he was initially terrified at how his peers would react to the news - after keeping his sexuality a secret until he was 38 - but claims the experience was extremely liberating and he longs to relive it a second time.

"I was terrified. I had to really work on my self esteem to understand that it's all about self love, and other people's opinions weren't what was important. What WAS important was accepting myself exactly as I am, as I was born. I insist, it wasn't easy, but wow, I wish I could come out again because it felt like I could 'high five' God [sic]," he said, speaking during a Facebook chat with fans.

The 41-year-old singer also said he was a keen supporter of Miley Cyrus and suggested the star's wild antics are a reflection of her growing up in the music industry: "I LOVE MILEY! #TEAMMILEY all the way. She's a young woman living the moment with music...i wish her nothing but the best [sic]."

Vin Diesel Says Facebook Owes Him Billions of Dollars

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Features,

Vin DieselVin Diesel believes Facebook should pay him for having millions of followers.

The Fast and Furious actor - who has over 41 million likes on his page on the social media site - joked he should receive the money from the company because he has so many fans and he believes the key to his popularity is he takes the time to talk to his followers.

"So, when I had started my page, the only person that had a million fans was Barack Obama. Because it was first-quarter 2009, and he'd just got elected as President, because of social media. So, when I started talking to the fans, I became the No. 1 page in the world. Over Coca-Cola, over huge companies. And it was only because I said, 'Hi, guys, I love you.'"

The 45-year-old star insists he updates his Facebook page himself and he admits the social network giant was shocked by how many followers he has gained. "Facebook used to ask me to come up to their office to explain what the f**k I was doing, and why I had so many fans. What was unique was: I never let anyone do a post, I never let anyone post for me in the last four years. My audience knows me so well on the page that if my producing partner's in the room when I post, they'll know somebody was around me. That's kind of cool, that's how sophisticated they are. Facebook really owes me billions of dollars. But whatever," he told Entertainment Weekly.

Kristen Stewart Worries She’ll Be Killed

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Child Stars,

Kristen StewartKristen Stewart is worried her stardom might lead to someone killing her one day.

The Twilight actress fears someone will log on to a social networking site to find out her location, then travel to where she is and murder her. In an extract from new e-book Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner -- In Their Own Words by Talia Soghomonian, she told interviewer Sian Edwards, "Nowadays it's harder because everyone is on Facebook and everyone knows where you are all the time, and everyone's Twittering. Like I'm going to die because somebody is going to say where I am and somebody is going to kill me. Someone's going to Twitter my location and then it's going to be like, boom."

While the 22-year-old star fears sites such as Facebook and Twitter can be harmful in terms of her safety, she admits the communication possibilities on the webpages are "really great." She added, "I actually think too much of anything can be scary, but at the same time it's also an opportunity. I mean mass communication is a good thing. It's actually a really great thing, it's just scary."

Selena Gomez’s Hacker in Jail

Selena GomezA boy who hacked into Selena Gomez's Facebook account has been jailed for a year.

Gareth Crosskey was tracked down in an investigation by the FBI and the British Met Police after he posed as Selena's stepfather Brian Teefey - the administrator of the page - and wrote to him claiming he had seen personal emails between Selena and her boyfriend Justin Bieber in January 2011. He also claimed to have personal exchanges with Selena and her friend Demi Lovato.

Gareth, 21, pleaded guilty of two offenses against the Computer Misuses Act at Southwark Crown Court and Judge John Price claimed Selena "deserved" her privacy.

"You are clever with a computer and you hacked into the private part of somebody's Facebook account. Selena Gomez has a Facebook account on which she has six million friends. They have permission to get into part of the account and you hacked into a private part by getting the email password. People deserve privacy and should not have their private correspondence made public," he said, according to The Sun.

Kim Kardashian Says Internet Has Made Her Famous

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Television, Features,

Kim KardashianKim Kardashian doesn't think she'd be famous without the internet. The reality TV star is one of the world's most recognizable women and believes her fame is down to social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook because it means she can directly interact with her fans.

"I think a lot of our fan base and a lot of our connection with people is internet based. I think that the internet has brought on a different kind of celebrity. We are very well aware of who we are and what our place is. We are so active on Twitter, on our Facebook pages, we are writing back, we are connecting. We enjoy it," said Kim, who stars alongside her family in reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

While she likes to interact with her fans, Kim also revealed how she enjoys hitting back at the people who give her abuse on Twitter: "I love writing them back. People will write me, 'My phone battery lasts longer than Kim Kardashian's marriage,' and I'll write back, 'Oh, which phone is that?' When people are so stupid, you just have to have fun with it. Someone [without a profile photo] will say I'm fat, or a hairy Armenian, and I'll write back, 'Oh, that egg picture of yours is so gorgeous.'"
