Lindsay Lohan Told to Pay Back Money

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Legal Issues, Parties,

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan has been asked to pay back part of an appearance fee after turning up late.

The Mean Girls actress was reportedly paid over $50,000 to host a Halloween party at Foxwoods casino in Connecticut on Thursday, but the event organizers are attempting to claim back some of her generous payday because she was more than 90 minutes late and didn't honor the full extent of her duties.

According to TMZ, Lindsay was due to arrive at 10pm local time, but only showed up at 11:43pm. The 27-year-old star also refused to walk the red carpet, where she was expected to pose for photographers and meet with some lucky fans, and went straight inside the venue. Lawyers for the establishment are now hoping to renegotiate their contract with the actress because they feel she didn't uphold their agreement.

However, eyewitnesses say Lindsay and co-host, boxer Floyd Mayweather, did a great job hosting a Halloween costume contest on stage. Floyd, who was reportedly paid the same amount as the Liz & Dick star, also arrived late but made up for his tardiness by meeting with fans, signing autographs and taking photos. Lindsay appeared in fancy dress at the event, styling herself as classic horror character Carrie White from the movie Carrie.

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Movies, Child Stars, Rumors,

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan has yet to sign her contract to play the late Elizabeth Taylor in a new movie.

The Mean Girls actress is set to play the star - who died of congestive heart failure last year - in a forthcoming film for the Lifetime channel, and despite shooting due to start in just a few weeks in Canada she has not yet officially signed on.

"Lindsay is planning on signing the contract this week if all proceeds as scheduled. Lindsay is excited at the prospect of being back on set again. The major parts of the contract are in place and all that is needed now is signatures of Lindsay and the producers of the project," a source said.

Recently it was claimed producers behind the movie were concerned about her ability to tell the truth after conflicting reports of an alleged altercation with Marisa Dugas at the Chateau Marmont hotel.

Howard Stern Gives Huge Boost to Sirius Subscriptions

After this, he’ll be even more impossible to work with.

Radio shock jock Howard Stern has a good reason to gloat today. Within minutes after the announcement was made that Stern would return to Sirius Satellite Radio for the next five years, the sales department was flooded with calls from subscribers.

New customers immediately called in to sign up for Sirius, but many more were calling to renew canceled and suspended accounts that were put on hold while Stern negotiated his new contract.

Maybe he should have asked for even more money for the gig.

Jon Gosselin Wants Out of His TLC Contract

Jon GosselinThis probably isn’t the first time someone tried to cite a case of stupidity as a legal defense. , calling himself “an unsophisticated father of eight,” says he was in no position to sign a contract with TLC. He had no lawyer or manager to guide him, you see, so he can hardly be held accountable for putting his own legal name on legal paperwork.

Gosselin said the deal was bad from the start (so why did he continue for so many seasons…?), they only pulled down $2,000 per episode. He even attacked the cable network on another front, saying that TLC violated child labor laws. TLC denies these claims and states that Gosselin did have a lawyer at the contract meetings.
