Amanda Bynes is expected to be released from rehab in time for Christmas.
The troubled actress, who has been in care since being placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold in July, will reportedly be granted release in December after exhibiting marked improvements in her health. According to TMZ, Amanda has responded well to the medication and counselling she has been provided at The Canyon rehab facility in Malibu, California - where she moved to in September after transferring from the UCLA Medical Center's psychiatric ward - and doctors believe the treatment has "sufficiently stabilized" her.
The 27-year-old star is expected to be released into the care of her mother, Lynn, who will supervise her at their family home as she readjusts to the world.
It was recently reported the She's the Man actress - whose erratic behavior in public and on Twitter earlier this year led to her involuntary psychiatric hold - has been allowed to embark on supervised outings twice a week as she has made "great progress."

Brooke Mueller's attempt to get a restraining order against Charlie Sheen has failed.
The socialite's emergency bid to prevent her ex-husband - with whom she has four-year-old twins Bob and Max - from going anywhere near her was allegedly refused yesterday, with a Los Angeles Superior Court setting a hearing for next month instead.
Brooke and the Anger Management star have been locked in a bitter custody battle since her release from rehab this autumn, with Charlie branding the 36-year-old blonde an "evil and pathetic uber loser" over Twitter. According to RadarOnline.com, Brooke's legal petition read, "I have reached out repeatedly to Charlie Sheen seeking that we find peace for the sake of our children over the past seven month only to be told, 'lose my number d****e bag.' Petitioner is seriously upset that I am in recovery and have successfully maintained my sobriety. I am doing so for our children and myself. I love our children more than anyone can imagine. I am fighting for them every day. I do not want them to have two severely drug addicted parents. Charlie Sheen is furious that I am doing so well, he had hoped I would relapse in order to continue his long sought quest to have all his children under one roof with his former wife."

Lady Gaga has reportedly split up with her boyfriend.
The "Applause" hitmaker has been dumped by her actor beau Taylor Kinney - whom she has been dating since 2011 - after he struggled to deal with her demanding work schedule.
"Taylor has told her she's married to her career and that he can't deal with dating Gaga the mega-star and all her obsessions and alter-egos. He loves the cool, down-to-earth girl but hardly gets to see her. Gaga never stops working -- she writes songs in the shower and dreams up new outfits in her sleep. She has a whole security team as well as several assistants with her at all times. Out of every month there's maybe just one night out of her and his crazy work schedules that they can be a couple," a source told The Sun.
The 27-year-old singer has been struck with a string of bad luck this year after undergoing debilitating hip surgery in February, having life-long friends turn their backs on her, and losing her pet dog Alice last week.

Eddie Cibrian Blasts Divorce Rumors

Eddie Cibrian has hit back at rumors his marriage to LeAnn Rimes is on the rocks.
The 40-year-old actor, who has been married to the 31-year-old singer since April 2011, insists that all is well between them and their relationship is "very functional."
"[The rumors have] been going on for so long. They're just absurd, and to give any validity to any of these things, it's crazy," the "Best Man Holiday" star told Entertainment Tonight.
Eddie, who has two sons, Mason, nine, and Jake, six, with his ex-wife Brandi Glanville, also opened up about the couple's upcoming VH1 reality show. "We have such a great marriage, very functional and we just decided to do a show to screw that all up," he joked.
Eddie and LeAnn went public with their relationship after it was revealed that they began an affair after starring in their 2009 Lifetime movie, Northern Lights, but rumors recently began swirling that they are headed for a $50 million divorce and Eddie has been reaching out to his ex-wife. "Brandi's always happy to let him unburden himself to her," an insider said.

Charlie Sheen Denied Access to Sons

Charlie Sheen was allegedly denied access to his own sons on Saturday.
The Anger Management star's ex-wife Denise Richards, who has temporary custody of his four-year-old twins, Bob and Max, with Brooke Mueller, was reportedly informed by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) that she was not allowed to take the children over to the actor's house for a visit. A source told gossip website TMZ.com that officials told the 42-year-old actress that they were annoyed with Charlie after he claimed his sons were in danger and were not being protected by the department.
Bob and Max, who were removed from Brooke's care by the DCFS in May amid allegations her drug use had resulted in an "unsafe environment," spent their first over-night stay with her on Friday since she was released from rehab.

James Franco was among those affected by the shooting at LAX airport on Friday.
The Spring Breakers star was left stranded on the tarmac when his flight landed at Los Angeles International Airport amidst chaos after a gunman opened fire at around 9:20am local time.
James posted a solemn looking picture of himself waiting to leave a plane on his Instagram account. "At #lax Some s** tbag shot up the place [sic]," he captioned the snap.
It appears the 35-year-old star had a long wait before he could go about his day as his next message followed five hours later. "WE'RE OUT! - everyone was calm [sic]" James wrote.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are suing YouTube co-founder Chad Hurley.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star and the rapper claim the billionaire "manipulated" his way into AT&T Park in San Francisco and released unauthorized footage of the moment the "New Slaves" hitmaker proposed to her on her 33rd birthday on October 21.
According to court documents, obtained by gossip website TMZ.com, the couple are accusing Hurley of scheming to post the video of the intimate moment on his new Internet venture, MixBit. Their lawyer Eric George also trashes the entrepreneur, claiming Hurley is desperate to find a "second act" because two of his other businesses have flopped since he sold YouTube for $1.65 billion.
It was previously reported that Kanye invited Kim's close family and friends, along with several well known Silicon Valley founders to watch his surprise proposal, but Hurley wasn't invited and they only let him stay after he signed a confidentiality agreement. They attached a picture of him holding the agreement to the lawsuit, which also states, "Hurley proceeded to try to turn the event into one starring himself, broadcasting the images he knew were the exclusive property rights of someone else."

Kelly Osbourne dressed as Carrie to celebrate Halloween last night.
The 28-year-old star recreated the blood soaked look of the iconic character from the 1976 horror movie - which has just been remade with Chloe Moretz in the lead role. The Fashion Police host slipped into the gory prom dress to attend Adam Lambert's Halloween Party, which was Powered by CIROC, Bootsy Bellows in West Hollywood.
Kelly needed the help of her fiance Matthew Mosshart to complete her gruesome look for fright night. Writing on her Twitter page before heading out, she posted,
Soooo excited for tonight's #Halloween costume!!!! Getting my fiance to poor a bucket of blood over my head!!! es I'm going as Carrie however I have a feeling I might end up looking like a tampon! [sic]." She added, "#LetTheBloodPouringBegin! This feels disgusting! [sic]."
Kelly traded in her violet locks for an auburn wig, which she teamed with a delicate tiara and had fake blood all over her face and chest as well as her dress.

Portia de Rossi "didn't want" to be a lesbian.
The 40-year-old actress was very nervous about publicly coming out, something she did in 2005, because she always thought that being gay was "strange" and also because she didn't know any famous women who were openly lesbians. In a revealing interview on The Conversation With Amanda De Cadenet, she said, "I just didn't want to be a lesbian. I'd never met one for a start and I just thought they were strange and that they hated men and they were very serious and I had these ridiculous images in my head and there were no out celebrities or politicians or anybody that I could look to and go, 'Oh, I could be like that.' There was nobody that I could say, 'I could date her and I want to be like her.' I just kind of thought I don't want to live like this. I don't have to, I don't need to, I just shut down the emotional life."
Not coming out had a very negative effect on Portia's life. The actress battled different eating disorders while she was starring in Ally McBeal from 1998 to 2002, and she believes they were symptoms of her hiding her sexuality. "The thing that kept me company was my eating disorder. It was like a lover, it was like somebody who never ever left me. Like a thought that would always keep me excited, interested and focused. It's adrenaline," she explained.

Heidi Montag has had a breast reduction.
The former The Hills star, who shocked her fans after she underwent 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day in 2010, has gone under the knife again to have her implants reduced, taking her from a size F to a size D.
The 27-year-old blonde beauty told Entertainment Tonight host Brooke Anderson that she had her breasts downsized for "health reasons." Heidi - who married her reality TV co-star Spencer Pratt in 2008 - previously hit back at reports suggesting she regretted her cosmetic surgeries but admitted she wouldn't recommend it: "It could have been really disastrous. I lived and I learned, and I wouldn't really recommend it for other people. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be going through it - physically, mentally, emotionally and the recovery. I'm just glad it's done and that everything healed so well."
However she also blamed her plastic surgeon, Dr. Frank Ryan, who died in a tragic car accident on the Pacific Coast Highway in 2010, for her excessive procedures.
