Russell Brand has been refused entry to South Africa.
The 38-year-old comedian was forced to cancel a stand-up performance in Johannesburg on Friday as part of his Messiah Complex World Tour, after authorities banned him from boarding a flight.
"Tonight's J-burg show cancelled. SA authorities REFUSE TO LET ME INTO YOUR COUNTRY. Trying to resolve it [sic]," Russell wrote on Twitter.
The star later believed the situation had been resolved and told his fans he would be able to make it for Saturday's show. "South Africa! I'm allowed in! AUTHORITY YIELDED TO YOUR PEOPLE POWER! I'll be on stage tomorrow night in J-Burg #MessiahComplex [sic]," he exclaimed. Shortly after, it seems Russell was given false hope as he once again reiterated he was "refused entry." He added, "Banned from South Africa. Here ready to go. Refused entry. Hope I can come soon #MessiahComplex [sic]."
Russell was expected to perform four sold out shows in the city before taking to the stage in Cape Town on November 19.

Eiza Gonzalez was reportedly "using" Liam Hemsworth.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire actor was seen kissing the Mexican actress in September - just a day after confirming the end of his engagement to Miley Cyrus - but the romance is said to have broken down after he realized Eiza was using it as a publicity stunt.
"Liam told Miley he's not seeing Eiza anymore. He found out that she was tipping off photographers; she was totally using him! Miley is thrilled obviously -- it's street justice, especially after Eiza was so cocky about things," a source said.
Miley - who has been romantically linked to music producer Mike WiLL Made It and Rolling Stone magazine heir Theo Wenner since splitting from Liam - is said to be pleased that the Hollywood hunk was used because he moved on from their long-term relationship quickly. "[Miley has] forgiven Liam. But his hook-ups with Eiza and the way he was so open about it really hurt her, so in a way she's kind of glad he got used. Maybe it was a lesson he needed to learn. They just started talking again so it's not like they're back together, but they're in a way better place, I could see them giving things another shot," the insider added.

Alec Baldwin's accused stalker has been sentenced to 30 days in jail.
Genevieve Sabourin, who is on trial for stalking and harassing the former 30 Rock star, was charged with being in contempt of court in Manhattan, New York yesterday morning after she repeatedly heckled a doorman from Alec's building and her own lawyer. The judge ordered that the French-Canadian actress, 41, be jailed for constantly shouting at witnesses during their testimonies after issuing her a warning on Wednesday, after she shouted at Alec and accused him of having a "lying disease" when he denied her claims that they had sex after a dinner date in 2010 and also met in 2002, according to gossip website TMZ.com.
Sabourin argued she had a right to speak out in court because she sometimes has trouble understanding English.
During yesterday's proceeding, Sabourin was also accused of threatening to wage a "massive destructive war" against Alec, worse than his bitter custody battle with his ex-wife Kim Basinger, if he didn't pay for her to move to New York to live with him.

Liam Hemsworth insists he is single.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire actor was seen kissing Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez in September - just a day after confirming the end of his engagement to Miley Cyrus - but the romance can't have been serious as he says he has no one special in his life right now. "I don't have a lady at the moment," he told Extra.
And though Miley, 20, has been the subject of controversy recently with her daring behavior, Liam, 23, had nothing but praise for the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker: "I'm extremely happy for all of her success."
While he is currently single, Liam's co-star Woody Harrelson joked he should set his sights on another high-profile woman - Oprah Winfrey. "Who knows? I don't want to count anything out. She's a wonderful woman, very strong woman," he replied.

Sex photos of Nicolas Cage have reportedly been stolen.
The Frozen Ground actor has drafted in police officers to recover steamy pictures of himself and ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton - the mother of his 22-year-old son Weston - that were allegedly stolen from her home. TMZ reports law enforcement officials have arrested handyman Richard Orozco, who is accused of the theft, and charged him with felony burglary. However, Orozco has pleaded not guilty and the photos have yet to be found.
The arrest occurred last month and the handyman's bail has been set at a whopping $1 million. It's thought the pictures were stolen from Christina's home in April and the culprit nabbed four computers, as well as a box containing the illicit snaps.
The 49-year-old star began dating Christina, 46, in 1988 and the couple welcomed their son Weston into the world in December 1990. Nicolas has been married three times since his relationship with Christina.

Nicholas Hoult celebrated with Jennifer Lawrence at The Hunger Games: Catching Fire after-party in London.
The couple, who rekindled their relationship in July after splitting up after two years together in January, were photographed side by side by a fan at the bash at the Royal Court of Justice after the premiere on Monday night.
The picture, which was posted on Twitter, shows the 23-year-old actress chatting to someone as the British actor, 23, talks on the phone beside her.
Nicholas' sister Rosanna Hoult also attended the premiere. "On route to the Hunger Games London premiere. Excited! Wonder if we'll have to do a special task to get in, should have brought my bow and arrow in case!" she wrote on Twitter.

When recently questioned about her controversial peer Miley Cyrus, the Catching Fire star used her platform to speak out about the sexualization of young stars, but she also made it clear that she doesn't judge young women like Cyrus who choose to express themselves the way that they do:
"[The sexualization of young women] is a part of the entertainment industry that sells. Sex sells, and for some disgusting reason young sex sells even more. Everybody's got their own path and they've got their own way of finding themselves. For some people, that's how they feel best, that's how they feel sexy and that's how they want to perform... to each their own."

Alec Baldwin has denied he once had a sexual relationship with his alleged stalker. The former 30 Rock star took to the stand against Genevieve Sabourin, who is on trial for stalking and harassment, in Manhattan, New York, this morning, and broke down in tears as he accused the Canadian actress of making his life miserable.
The defendant, 40, repeatedly heckled the Rock of Ages star, 55, during his testimony, according to gossip website TMZ.com, and challenged Alec when he denied her claims that they had sex after a dinner date in 2010 and also met in 2002. "Really?" she shouted when he insisted they never had a sexual relationship and accused him of having a "lying disease."

Emma Thompson has forgiven Helena Bonham Carter for allegedly having an affair with her ex-husband.
The Saving Mr. Banks star, who ended her marriage with Kenneth Branagh in 1995 amid rumors he had a fling with Helena on the set of Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, has revealed their issues are "all blood under the bridge" and thinks the Lone Ranger actress, who is now married to director Tim Burton, is a "wonderful woman."
"You can't hold on to anything like that. I just think . . . pfft. It's pointless. I haven't got the energy for it. Helena and I made our peace years and years ago," the 54-year-old British actress told the UK's Sunday Times newspaper. "Oh we are [alike]. Being slightly mad and a bit fashion-challenged. Perhaps that's why Ken loved us both. She's a wonderful woman, Helena," she added.
Emma, who has a daughter, Gia, 13, and an adopted son, Tindyebwa Agaba, 26, with her husband Greg Wise, also admitted personal heartbreak has helped make her a better actress. "I've had so much bloody practice at crying in a bedroom, then having to go out and be cheerful, gathering up the pieces of my heart and putting them in a drawer," she said.
