Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan claims her latest trip to rehab is "pointless."

The 26-year-old actress - who began a 90-day court-ordered treatment program at the Betty Ford Center in California on Thursday to avoid jail after pleading ''no contest'' to charges for lying to police about driving during a car crash last June - claims she doesn't have a problem with alcohol or drugs.

"I've never been a huge drinker. I've never woken up in the morning and had a drink. I don't think I need to be on lockdown for three months. I don't think that's rehab. I've been court-ordered to do it six times. I could write the book on rehab. Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless. The first few times I was court-ordered to rehab it was like a joke, like killing time."

The actress - who also claims she has only done cocaine "four or five times" in her life but admits to preferring ecstasy and pot - hopes that her stint in rehab will help her to change people's opinion of her.

Denise Richards

Denise Richards has been awarded temporary custody of Charlie Sheen's sons. The Wild Things actress - who has daughters Sam, nine, and Lola, seven, with the actor, as well as adopted Eloise, two - is to take on the care of twins Bob and Max, four, after social workers Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services removed them from the home of their mother Brooke Mueller because of allegations her drug use is jeopardizing their safety.

"Brooke was given many opportunities by social workers to clean up her act. Social workers felt that Bob and Max weren't safe in Brooke's care. The decision was made late on Thursday afternoon, and the boys are no longer in Brooke's care. It's expected at some point the boys will be taken care of by Charlie Sheen's ex-wife, Denise Richards, who has cared for them in the past when Brooke went to rehab. Denise loves the boys and their safety and well being mean everything to her. Bob and Max are safe and that is all the matters. Denise is simply complying with the court order," a source said.

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan will not be allowed Adderall during her time in rehab.

The 26-year-old actress has reportedly said she will only enter a court ordered treatment facility if she is allowed to have the prescription drug - used to treat Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder - but a source at Seafield Center in Westhampton Beach, New York, where she has chosen to check in to, insists they don't allow it.

"We are suspicious of Adderall because of its many abuses - lots of people say they take it for ADHD, when they're really using it for weight loss and getting high," an insider said.

While the facility tries to get patients off Adderall and uses other drugs to treat ADHD instead, Lindsay has told friends she has tried other medications but none have worked.

RihannaRihanna's tour buses were allegedly stopped and searched for drugs.

The "Stay" singer - who recently kicked off her Diamonds world tour - was not on any of the buses when they were reportedly stopped at the border between Michigan and Canada but a "small amount" of marijuana was discovered on an unidentified passenger.

A law enforcement source told gossip website TMZ.com that a total number of ten buses were stopped at the Ambassador Bridge, which separates Windsor, Canada and Detroit, and inspectors initiated a secondary bus-to-bus search after an officer smelt the drug on one of the buses. A sniffer dog was brought on board and detected drugs on one passenger, who was then searched and a small amount of marijuana was discovered. He was reportedly cited with a civil penalty.

The 24-year-old star resumed her tour last Thursday after being forced to cancel two shows in Boston and Baltimore after falling ill with laryngitis immediately after the first show of the tour in New York state and tweeted she was "embarrassed" about it.

Jon Bon Jovi and his daughter StephanieJon Bon Jovi found out about his daughter Stephanie Bon Jovi's drug overdose in the "worst phone call ever."

The 51-year-old rocker was horrified when the 19-year-old college student was rushed to hospital in November after being found unresponsive in her dorm room at Hamilton College in Kirkland, New York.

"Worst phone call ever. Now she's doing great and I truly appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers but in short, that problem is much more of a problem than I knew and I can't get over how many people have said 'My son, my daughter.' There is a lot of pressure on kids these days. I'm just blessed she's healthy and whole and we'll get through it," he told chat show host Katie Couric.

Jon previously admitted he and his wife Dorothea were devastated at the teenager's "sudden and steep decline" when drugs including heroin and marijuana were reportedly found in her room: "I didn't have any sisters. We bring home this girl the first day. Now what? Where's the manual? There was no manual. So you bring her up the best you can, you surround her with hugs and kisses and know that she may eventually fall down... I'm shocked as much as the next parent with this situation and had no idea. But then you surround them with best help and love and move on, and that's where we're at with it. Steph is a great kid... Cool school, Hamilton College up in Clinton, New York. Everything about it is idyllic. She was doing great. Then a sudden and steep decline."

Tre Cool, Billie Joe Armstrong, and Mike Dirnt of Green Day

Billie Joe Armstrong's bandmate wasn't surprised by his public meltdown last year that led to him going to rehab for 30 days. Green Day bassist Mike Dirnt has revealed the group ignored warning signs that the 41-year-old "Basket Case" singer was struggling to cope with his addictions to alcohol and drugs because they were too busy.

"We all turned a blind eye to it - 'Everyone, deal with your own s**t.' Because we were working so hard," he told Rolling Stone.

Jim Sheridan and Colin FarrellJim Sheridan admires how Colin Farrell turned his life around. The Seven Psychopaths actor checked into rehab in 2006 after his partying got out of control and director and close friend Jim admits Colin was on course to become the "next mess up" before he got clean.

Speaking at the eighth annual Oscar Wilde: Honoring the Irish in Film party at Lost producer J.J Abrams' Bad Robot Productions in Santa Monica on Thursday, Jim told BANG Showbiz, "Colin is impressive, not just as an actor but as a person. We all know he had his ups and downs and there was a time when he was going to be the next mess up but he left it all behind him and became a great lad."

Jim also believes it is the 36-year-old actor's likeability that has helped him bounce back and says everyone can relate to his problems. "In Ireland we admire Daniel Day Lewis and respect Liam Neeson but somewhere inside us we love Colin, because we're just waiting for him to f**k up you know. We're just waiting for him to fall in the s**t and be like us. 'Talent and good looks help when you're trying to make it in the entertainment industry, Colin has them in spades. Deep down he is such a great guy and it comes across on screen, he has that charisma that just comes across. The first time he was ever on screen he was a star. You see it."

Cissy and Whitney HoustonWhitney Houston's mother doesn't blame Bobby Brown for introducing her daughter to drugs.

The late singer died in February 2011 of accidental drowning in a hotel bathtub caused by heart disease and cocaine use and while her former husband has been widely blamed for first bringing drugs into her life, Cissy Houston doesn't believe her death was his fault.

Writing in her book Remembering Whitney, Cissy explained, "I think Bobby was Nippy's [Whitney] rebellion. Around him, she didn't have to be the perfect girl. Yet I don't blame Bobby for introducing her to drugs."

Cissy tried numerous times to make Whitney quit drugs and details one attempt in 2000 when Whitney refused to go to rehab: "She started pleading for us not to send her to rehab. 'Mommy,' she said, 'please I can take care of it. Just come stay at my house and you can look after me and I'll quit.' I let her talk me into it. But that house was so big that she would just lock herself up somewhere and not come out and because I couldn't force her to stop I eventually just moved home."

Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan has allegedly admitted she needs professional help.

The troubled actress - who is facing a possible eight months in jail after her probation was revoked last week because she lied about being behind the wheel during a car crash in June - has reportedly told friends that she knows her life has spun out of control again and believes professional therapy will help her get her life back on track.

A source close to the "inconsolable" 26-year-old actress told gossip website TMZ.com that Lindsay has been repeatedly calling her lawyer Shawn Holley in tears in recent days and has admitted she has hit rock bottom again. But the Liz & Dick star is said to still believe her bad group of friends are to blame for her constant legal troubles and have led to her run-ins with "opportunists" seeking to provoke her and profit from it.

Brooke MuellerBrooke Mueller has been rushed to hospital after a suspected overdose.

The former wife of Charlie Sheen - who has twins Bob and Max, three, with the Anger Management star - was reportedly taken from her home in Tarzana, Los Angeles to a nearby hospital on Friday morning. According to gossip website TMZ, Brooke is now "conscious and responsive," but those around her are "deeply concerned" as they claim she has been taking drugs for the past few weeks.

In June, Charlie urged Brooke to check herself into rehab after he became concerned about her. Brooke - who has struggled with substance abuse issues in the past - reportedly appeared "out of it" when she paid a visit to her ex-husband.

A source close to Brooke said at the time, she "partied for four days straight ... and ultimately fell off the wagon." The insider added, "Brooke's family is hoping that she finally understands the consequences of her actions. That is, she risks losing all of her rights to the children if she doesn't get clean - once and for all."
