In early March, the National Enquirer reported that Star Jones and Al Reynolds were on the road to Splitsville.  After nearly 3 1/2 years of marriage, Star was supposedly getting tired of doing all the “heavy lifting” in the marriage.

Now almost 2 months later, Jones has finally admitted that the buzz was true.  On March 26, the former View co-host filed for divorce in New York.  In a statement issued exclusively to Entertainment Tonight, she said:

“Several years ago I made an error in judgment by inviting the media into the most intimate area of my life.  A month ago I filed for divorce.  The dissolution of a marriage is a difficult time in anyone’s life that requires privacy with one’s thoughts.  I have committed myself to handling this situation with dignity and grace and look forward to emerging from this period as a stronger and wiser woman.”

So now she wants privacy?  I’d love to hear what Joy Behar has to say about that.
