For the first time since the twins news was revealed, actress Sarah Jessica Parker is talking about being a mother again. In an interview with Billy Bush, the Sex and the City star also expressed concern for the welfare of the surrogate mother and addressed rumors about her marriage.

Although she’s already a mother to a 6-year-old son, Parker said they turned to surrogacy after exploring other options. “It would be a complicated – it would be odd to have made this choice if I was able to, you know, have successful pregnancies since my son’s birth,” she explained.

Unfortunately, her decision to get outside help has come with a price. “[The surrogate’s] had her phone hacked, her personal computer information hacked, she’s had threats against her and true harassment,” Parker detailed. “On a daily basis, on an hourly basis, I am greatly concerned for her health and safety and the safe delivery of our children.”

The timing of the pregnancy has also fueled speculation about the state of her marriage. Are Sarah and her husband, Matthew Broderick, trying to find something to bond over? According to 44-year-old, tabloid gossip does not play any factor in her world. “Am I immune to it? No. Do I read it? No. I have been wisely counseled, I think, to really, really, really not pay attention. That doesn’t meant that I don’t have an inkling, but it certainly doesn’t influence anything - anything - in my life.”
