The Teen Choice Awards honor Hollywood’s fresh, up-and-coming stars and popular favorites who are loved by fans of all ages. It’s a night of youth and fun, but it’s still a red carpet event. Emma Roberts is adorable and she’s got the right connections to become a major Hollywood player…but only if she gets her red carpet wardrobe under control. Emma chose to wear a fluorescent green Brian Reyes minidress that washes out her skin tone, making her look like a ghost. The frock does little to suit her figure, and those clunky brown heels are the stuff of nightmares. That Emma decided to pair all this with a gold clutch and black nail polish is truly unfortunate.

Reality star Kim Kardashian is easily one of the world’s loveliest women…just not on the red carpet at Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards. Her black Zuhair Murad gown drapes weirdly at the bottom, making the dress look too tight for Kim’s buxom frame. The heels, clutch and glamor girl makeup are perfect, but her dress is a definite miss.

When in Rome star Kristen Bell chose a short, summery Stella McCartney ensemble that screams casual. Her look, while cute, is hardly the stuff of red carpet glamor. If she wasn’t wearing those fierce Brian Atwood heels with that messy hairdo, her outfit would look a lot like pajamas.

Disney starlet Selena Gomez sparkled in this flowing white BCBG number. The dress looked dramatic against her dark hair, and the sparkly heels were the perfect companion to the stunning number.

Reigning Glee diva and Emmy nominee Lea Michele also rocked the red carpet wearing a sparkly little number, but in her case the look raised concerns instead of eyebrows. Michele’s rail-thin frame is vastly different from the healthy, normal figure we all got used to seeing on Glee - and frankly, she looks awful. Her legs are so toothpick-like, her sexy tan heels look like clodhoppers, and clearly the weight of the matching clutch is putting a strain on that tiny little arm. It’s hard to say whether or not her Naeem Khan dress is a red carpet hit, because there isn’t enough to Lea Michele to fill the frock out properly.
