David Arquette and Courteney Cox are legally separated, but they had no problem sitting down together to talk to reporters about their upcoming movie, Scream 4, and their ongoing problems.

The ex-couple held hands as they talked about Wes Craven’s latest horror flick. “We’re working on ourselves and our relationship,” David Arquette explained. “Life’s complicated, and people go through changes.”

“The great thing is that we really love each other and that we’re really amazing parents together,” he said. “I’m her biggest fan and she’s my biggest fan. You know, that’s what it’s all about really.”

“We really respect each other and we help each other,” Courteney Cox said of their working relationship.

Scream 4 has picked a notoriously terrifying date to hit theaters -- April 15, tax day. Yikes. The fourth film installment comes 15 years after Scream first hit the big screen. David Arquette and Courteney Cox will both reprise their respective roles for the flick. They’ll be joined by Scream vet Neve Campbell and newcomers Hayden Panettiere, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Adam Brody, Kristen Bell, Anna Paquin, Shenae Grimes and Lucy Hale
