Here’s a quick look at some of the casting announcements made recently:
True Blood: Michael Steger briefly saw his ex-girlfriend date another woman on 90210. Now, he’s been cast as a gay prostitute on HBO’s hit program. Steger, who is right now only scheduled for a one-episode appearance in Season 3, will get picked up by the Vampire King of Mississippi. Steger could possibly have a recurring role in Season 4.

In need of a fix right now? Then take a view moments to watch this new “minisode” featuring Eric (Alexander Skarsgard), Pam (Kristin Bauer) and some Fangtasia auditioners. The slightly NSFW clip - one of several that HBO is releasing - will help fill some gaps between Seasons 2 and 3.

TV Talk: No Sex for Neal McDonough, Jimmy Kimmel’s Post-Lost Special

-Did Neal McDonough’s religious beliefs cost him a gig? According to a report, the married Catholic was replaced on ABC’s Scoundrels because he didn’t want to do love scenes with Virginia Madsen. It’s a principle the Desperate Housewives star has stuck by during his career.
-True Blood, which was already based on Charlaine Harris’ novels, will now be adapted into a comic book series. Although the main characters will be included, the stories will be different from the ones seen on HBO.
-Damages could soon be pulling double-duty. If the critically-acclaimed drama is going to stay afloat, future seasons may air first on DirecTV before it airs on FX. That’s similar to the arrangement NBC had for Friday Night Lights.
-Jimmy Kimmel’s love of Lost has earned him a prime position. The late night comedian will now host a post-finale special after the show ends its run on Sunday, May 23.

Realizing just how much “waiting sucks,” HBO has begun offering impatient fans snippets of True Blood‘s upcoming season.
After every encore episode airing Sundays @ 8:00, the cable network will provide a brand new “In Production” clip. This first scene involving Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) is a textbook definition of the word “teaser.”
Season 3 won’t - sigh - begin until June 13. Until then, bide your time checking out a new tasty poster after the jump.

-It’s now time to put Season 2 of True Blood in your Netflix queue. HBO has just announced the hit series will return for Season 3 on June 13.
-Couldn’t they just ban him for life? An insider claims Spencer Pratt has been banned from The Hills’ set for six weeks after threatening a producer. He’ll reportedly undergo anger management training.
