Kristen Bell’s ‘Veronica Mars’ Jitters

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Drama, Prime Time, The CW, UPN, Features,

Kristen BellKristen Bell had "jitters" on the first day of shooting the Veronica Mars movie.

The 33-year-old actress admitted she was nervous about reprising her role as the titular character in the big screen adaptation of the now defunct TV series. Speaking at the San Diego Comic-Con panel for the movie, she said, "It was a lot of excitement and a lot of unknown jitters."

Kristen also revealed her co-star Jason Dohring, who plays her love interest Logan Echolls, was equally nervous: "We kept staring at each other, like 'are we really here? Is this the Twilight Zone?"

Meanwhile, Enrico Colantoni insisted he found it easy to step back into the role of Keith Mars - Veronica's father - because he has a close relationship with Kristen, who recently gave birth to her first child with fiance Dax Shepard. "Kristen and I hang out at hockey games together. It's easy to look at her and have this paternal thing for her. Now, she's a mama. We have more to talk about," he said.

Fans Help Greenlight ‘Veronica Mars’ Movie

Kristen Bell as Veronica MarsVeronica Mars may have been cancelled six years ago, but fans are still just as ardent as ever to see a continuation of the UPN/CW series.

Series creator Rob Thomas took to the popular online fundraising site Kickstarter to generate interest and funds in seeing a big screen sequel to the show, which starred Kristen Bell as the title character.

"A two million dollar fundraising total probably means cross words are exchanged at the class reunion. Three million? We can afford a full-on brawl. Ten million? Who knows... For some reason the Neptune High class reunion takes place on a nuclear submarine! A Hobbit shows up! There’s a Bollywood end-credit dance number! I’ve always wanted to direct Bill Murray. We’ll figure out something cool. Hey, if that total goes high enough, I’ll bet the good folks at Warner Bros. will agree a sequel is a good idea," Thomas wrote on the project's Kickstarter page.

Miraculously, fans pulled through, raising over $2.8 million in less than 12 hours.

Kristen Bell’s Co-Star Found Scenes ‘Awkward’

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Comedy, Prime Time, Showtime, Features,

Adam Brody and Kristen BellKristen Bell's co-star found it a "little awkward" shooting sexy scenes with the pregnant actress.

Adam Brody, who guest stars in House of Lies alongside the blonde beauty, has revealed he initially found it strange filming steamy scenes for the dramatic comedy while she is expecting her first child but that she helped him to feel more comfortable.

The 33-year-old actor, who is dating former Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, told EOnline.com, "She was very pregnant. I like to say it was sort of a three-person scene. If it wasn't Kristen, it would have been incredibly awkward. Well, it was still a little awkward, but she's just such a warm and open friendly person."

The former Veronica Mars actress is expecting her first child with fiance Dax Shepard and while she can't wait to become a mom, Kristen recently admitted she is also a little nervous.

Another Veronica Mars Cast Member Joins Heroes

Francis Capra joins Heroes cast

As always, much has been said here and there about the upcoming, much-anticipated season of Heroes. Thankfully, Kristin over at E! was able to throw us a bone this past week.

She confirms that former Veronica Mars star Francis Capra has signed on for at least three episodes on NBC’s hit show as a thug… with (of course) a power. Sad but as always, Kristin (nor anyone else for that matter) is keeping his power under wraps.

Many fans of Veronica Mars are excited to see Capra and former co-star Kristen Bell on the small screen again. E! does confirm that the pair will share at least one scene together.

Scrubs

MONDAY (10/22)

**No new episode of Ellen today.  She’s still recovering from all the doggy drama**

  • Live With Regis and Kelly (ABC, syndicated):  will be pulling double-duty this week as he fills in for Regis Philbin in NY and tapes his show in LA.  (I’m guessing we’ll still be seeing him on as well.)  If we’re lucky, Guillermo will fill in for Gelman too.
  • Prison Break (FOX, 8pm):  The show returns tonight after being preempted by baseball last week.  What?  You don’t care either?
  • Heroes (NBC, 9pm):  Many fans have been waiting for Kristen Bell’s debut tonight.  Unfortunately, she’s one more new character I’ll have to ignore.

‘Heroes’ Welcomes Veronica Mars

Veronica Mars, star of the now-defunct Veronica Mars, has found a new home on NBC’s .  She accepted the role after weighing another offer to be on ABC’s Is she that

good?  Apparently she smartly realized that it was best to join a series that was still on an upswing.

While Bell’s character, Elle, is still a bit of a mystery…we do know that she has ties to Peter, H.R.G and Claire.  We also know that she will have a power.  Having never been a viewer of her old show, I really know nothing about Bell—aside from her horrible rendition of ‘Fame’ on the 2005 .  Here’s to hoping her presence will not come with an equally loud thud.

Expect to see the addition of Elle this October.
