Categories: Editorial, Front Office, MLB, News,

In this edition of EndScore Report, DV and (mostly) Chris talk about New York Mets owner Fred Wilpon, who had some scathing remarks regarding his own players. His own players! Wilpon disses once thought of foundation players, Jose Reyes and David Wright, as well as Carlos Beltran. Way to go, Fred. Great way to devalue your players for any possible trades, as well as send a clear message to any free agents that the Mets …

Interleague play resumes with same old rivalries and complaints

Categories: Editorial, MLB,

If nothing else, interleague play allows the baseball world to focus on rivalries other than that of the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox, but frankly, not enough teams have those “natural” rivals that baseball would like them to have. Proximity alone isn’t enough. You can’t argue that interleague games aren’t important. Every game is important. The crossover games though are little more than a cheap attempt to boost sales. The good news for …

The rollercoaster ride that is being Mike McCoy

Mike McCoy must have more frequent flyer miles than any non-major leaguer right now. The utility infielder for the Toronto Blue Jays has been up and down like a yo-yo between Toronto and Triple-A Las Vegas. He started the season on the 25-man roster, but less than two months into it he’s already been optioned to Triple-A and recalled three times each. In 2010, McCoy made two round-trips from the desert and across the border.... …

EndScore Report: In Your Face Jorge Posada and David Kahn

This week, we give an "In Your Face" to the New York Yankees' Jorge Posada for being unprofessional and whining. Also on the docket is the Minnesota Timberwolves' David Kahn for insinuating that the NBA fixes the NBA Draft Lottery for the big story. Maybe it's true, but what a wrong way to bring it up! Give this edition of "In Your Face" a LISTEN, why don't ya? Thanks for supporting EndScore Report and don't …

In this episode of EndScore Report, DV and Chris sweep across the MLB divisions for a quick recap of what's going down. It looks like the Tampa Bay Rays are gearing up to surprise the world again, despite losing some key players this past offseason. However, Evan Longoria is still there and healthy.  It's no surprise that World Series favorites, the Philadelphia Phillies are doing well, but it is surprising that the Florida Marlins aren't …

Stephen Brunt announces sale and move of Atlanta Thrashers to Winnipeg

Categories: News, NHL, Rumors,

With a sudden yet staggering announcement, it seems that the Atlanta Thrashers have finally found new ownership. Except those owners happen to be True North Sports and Entertainment – a company who already owns the AHL’s Manitoba Moose and the MTS Centre arena. Stephen Brunt, who broke the news Thursday night, has already taken significant heat for doing his job because, as expected, nobody would allow such ground-breaking news to just take off....

Tyler Seguin learning playoff style quickly

Shame on the Boston Bruins. Tyler Seguin didn’t play in any games during the first two rounds of the playoffs. Knowing that the Tampa Bay Lightning would be a tougher team than any they’d faced so far, they added Seguin to the roster for the Eastern Conference Finals. In his two games in the lineup, Seguin has three goals and three assists already, including a four-point explosion in the second period of Game 2.... …

Cleveland Cavaliers Win the NBA Draft Lottery

After getting done dirty by LeBron James last offseason and winning only 19 games in the Post-Bron Era, the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the odds and won the NBA Draft Lottery and, if you believe the multitude of mock drafts out there, the rights to point guard Kyrie Irving. Oddly enough, the Cavaliers, coming in with the second-best chance to win (19.9%) with their own pick, actually won with the Los Angeles Clippers (2.8%) draft pick. …

Tiny Tim tearing it up in Royals’ bullpen

After the Kansas City Royals dealt Zack Greinke in the offseason, many thought the team was up for yet another reboot of the familiar rebuilding theme. Instead, the Royals find themselves with a .500 record and sit ahead of both the Chicago White Sox and Minnesota Twins in their division. A good part of their early success is due to breakout rookie reliever Tim Collins. The small lefty has been solid on the hill and …

In the east, we have the Derrick Rose-led Chicago Bulls versus LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and the rest of the Miami Heat.
