Michael Buble Comes to Fainting Fan’s Rescue

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip,

Michael BubleMichael Buble had to catch a fan who fainted in his arms.

The “Haven’t Met You Yet” hitmaker delighted the mystery woman by stopping to chat with her - but she passed out after being overcome by his presence. Buble admits that has happened to him before.

“I’d just finished a show and was outside having a cigarette and a drink. This girl about 22 or 23 started talking. I could tell she was nervous, we exchanged pleasantries and then she passed out and I caught her!” he recalled. “A minute later she came round and just looked at me and said, ‘Oh God, what have I done?’ She was so embarrassed. That’s actually happened twice now.”

The singer always enjoyed being stopped and recognized by fans and doesn’t understand why other stars complain about the attention fame attracts.

“Sometimes people recognize me - I like it, it’s nice. I wanted to be famous and this is what comes with it. I’ve always been passionate about music but of course I wanted to be famous. To me, being successful at singing equaled fame,” he said.

Joss Stone on Her Fan Backlash

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip, R&B / Soul,

Joss Stone believes she has an “atrocious personality.”

The 22-year-old singer - who was criticized for adopting an American accent after moving to the US in 2006 - believes she stopped connecting with fans because of the way she portrays herself.

“I think I suffered a backlash not because of my music but because of me - my atrocious personality probably,” she told Britain’s Daily Star newspaper. “I don’t give away too much about my private life so people just make stuff up. It doesn’t matter what I do or don’t say. I can just chill alone for months and still be labeled the biggest b***h in the world. But my hair has changed - it’s my real color now. And I’ve made a simple album that I love.”

Joss is proud of her new LP Colour Me Free, and is confident the material marks a return to the sound which made her famous. “I finally got a chance to make music without people sitting over my shoulder and telling me what to think or play,” Stone said. “When I did my last album I was obsessed with getting it right. Now I’m just like, ‘F**k it, let’s go make some noise.’”

Taylor Swift Surprised by Fan’s Devotion

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip, Country,

Taylor Swift was horrified when a 40-year-old fan had her autograph tattooed on her stomach.

The 19-year-old singer initially thought the middle-aged woman was joking when she told her about the plan, and couldn’t believe it when she returned with the inking etched on her skin.

“I was signing autographs one time when this woman asked, ‘Can you sign my stomach? I’m going to get it tattooed on!’ I was like, ‘Yeah, alright. Sure.’ I signed it really big across her stomach. She came back an hour later with it tattooed on. I’m not kidding. And she was in her 40s, so old enough to know better. That’s dedication though!” Swift said.

Taylor is still adjusting to her fans pestering her for autographs, as she wasn’t always so admired when she was growing up. “I wasn’t really popular at high school. I’ve never really been sought-after by guys, but I don’t wallow in it. It’s my comfort zone, being single,” she revealed. “I feel that a lot happens to you when you’re not looking for it so I’m not actively looking for a boyfriend.”

Natalie Imbruglia Wants Attention, Not Underwear

Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Gossip,

Natalie ImbrugliaNatalie Imbruglia hates it when fans give her their underwear.

Although the “Want” singer is disappointed with the lack of male attention she has received since splitting from her husband, Silverchair rocker Daniel Johns, she doesn’t enjoy being bombarded with racy gifts.

“I did get some boxer shorts thrown on stage at V Festival, although that doesn’t really work for me. In fact, it was a bit creepy,” she said. “I don’t really have a group of male followers that turn up at concerts waiting for me when I come off stage either. It tends to be girls that follow performers in that way, I’m not sure why that is. Maybe guys are just being too cool. There aren’t too many men actually. Not as many as I’d like and they’re not queuing up.”

Quote of the Day: Kanye West Wants Fewer Fans

Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Hip-Hop & Rap,

Kanye West

“I made a decision. I wanna make popular music, but I want less fans. I want the freedom of having less fans. It’s like the freedom of having less money. If you have less money, you have less responsibility. It’s like Björk. If she wanted to pose naked, you’d be like, ‘Oh, that’s Björk.’ But if I wanted to pose naked, people would draw all type of things into it. I definitely feel like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I’ll pose naked. I break every rule and mentality of hip-hop, of black culture, of American culture.”
