VIDEO: Alec Baldwin Leaving 30 Rock to Pursue Normal Life

Although he’s already made it known that he’s leaving 30 Rock when his contract expires in 2012, Alec Baldwin now reveals that he wants to leave acting entirely—to pursue a more private, tabloid-free life.

“As much as I like acting I know that I would love to have a different life. A private life ... I think that doing this now for a living has become really, really hard. I would rather go do other things, and [with] whatever amount of time I have left in my life, have a normal life.”

When the interviewer points out that it may be impossible to do considering his current fame, Baldwin says, “I want to find out how close I can get.”

We were able to chat with 30 Rock‘s Jane Krakowski (Jenna on the show) earlier today to talk about tonight’s 30 Rock season finale. Jane gives us a teaser on what to expect in the Season 3 finale, and also tells us what it’s like to work with so many world-class comedians on a day-to-day basis. We also go into some of her work on the Breyers Smooth and Dreamy promotion, where she has shot a couple of webisodes that put her into classical movies as a modern-day woman (and they’re pretty funny.)
