Martina Navratilova Voted Off DWTS

Martina Navratilova became the first contestant to leave the latest series of Dancing with the Stars last night.
The 55-year-old tennis legend - who made up the bottom two with 35-year-old singer Gavin DeGraw - blamed herself for her exit, saying she "blew it" on the show on Monday night after struggling with her jive.
"I gave it everything I had, but I blew it yesterday and it cost me, unfortunately. Hopefully I get to the do the jive the last week here. I look forward to coming back and I wish everybody good luck. It was an amazing experience. I just wish that it had lasted longer," she said.
The judges were also unimpressed with Martina and professional partner Tony Dovolani's performance with Len Goodman saying it was "too careful" and "insular" while Bruno Tonioli added, "My darling, I think that serve went into the net."

Watch Kate Gosselin’s Final Tears on DWTS
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Dancing With The Stars, Video,
While I’m sure this will not be the last time you see the self-admitted “crybaby” reduced to tears, I do believe this will be the last time you see Kate Gosselin crying while wearing a gown her kids might have ripped up.
As you watch her give her final goodbye on last night’s Dancing with the Stars, ask yourself this: What did you believe more - Kate’s disappointment about being let go or Tony Dovolani’s sweet speech?

Kate Gosselin vs. Tony Dovolani: Whose Fault Was It?
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Dancing With The Stars, Features, Gossip, Video,
After years of coming in no further than third place, you knew it was just a matter of time before Tony Dovolani revealed a crack in his “nice guy” facade. Unfortunately for Kate Gosselin, she was at the receiving end of his blow up during last night’s episode of Dancing with the Stars.
Question is: Did she give him reason to lose his cool—or was he simply being an impatient teacher? Since we only got to see a portion of their rehearsal session last night, our snap judgments are simply being based on a just a few seconds of television.

Dancing with the Stars 9: The New Partners Revealed
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Dancing With The Stars, Features, Gossip,

Although we’ve already learned the celebrities comprising Dancing with the Stars 9, we know now the 16 pairs vying for that mirror ball trophy.
Aside from the addition of Anna Demidova (last season’s contest winner), there will be no new faces in the professional line-up this round. (The cast is already comprised of three So You Think You Can Dance vets as it is.) Louis Van Amstel, who was just seen on SYTYCD, will also make a return to his old stomping grounds.

DWTS’ Melissa Rycroft Gets Another Chance
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Dancing With The Stars, Gossip,
Once again, Dancing with the Stars fans proved they love to see a comeback story. But will their votes have been in vain?
Even though a rib injury kept her from performing on Monday, Melissa Rycroft’s supporters rallied to keep her around for another week. This despite no guarantees that she will even be able to dance again.
During last night’s results show, Melissa updated the audience on the status of her hairline fracture. “We’ve started new treatment and we’re kind of optimistic that it will be effective,” she explained.
Since the former Bachelor star was spared elimination, the ax had to come down on another couple. Although they went into the evening with 5 more points than Rycroft and Tony Dovolani, Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough were the ones sent home. But is there a possibility that they could return?
Should Melissa discover that she can’t continue as previously hoped, would the producers bring back the last pairing? Or would that all depend on the timing of her decision? I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Injured Melissa Rycroft Sidelined on Dancing with the Stars
Posted by Veronica Santiago Categories: Prime Time, Reality, ABC, Dancing With The Stars,

Could there be another bad ending in Melissa Rycroft’s reality show run?
Although it seemed like we had finally gotten past the Dancing with Stars curse, Jason Mesnick’s ex was absent from tonight’s taping. It was revealed that a rib injury suffered last week was actually a hairline fracture.
Despite Melissa’s efforts to perform this week, it became painfully clear after rehearsals that she couldn’t go on. Assuming she’s able to return to the competition (it’s currently believed she will), the judges went ahead and scored her pre-taped jive. (That was what they also did in the Steve-O back injury situation.) Unfortunately, the dry run with Tony Dovolani offered little substance and only earned a 21.
We should expect an update on Rycroft’s status on tomorrow’s results show.
