Although he’s already made it known that he’s leaving 30 Rock when his contract expires in 2012, Alec Baldwin now reveals that he wants to leave acting entirely—to pursue a more private, tabloid-free life.
“As much as I like acting I know that I would love to have a different life. A private life ... I think that doing this now for a living has become really, really hard. I would rather go do other things, and [with] whatever amount of time I have left in my life, have a normal life.”
When the interviewer points out that it may be impossible to do considering his current fame, Baldwin says, “I want to find out how close I can get.”

Britney Spears: Addicted to Attention?

Gossip queen Britney Spears is at it again. Though the pregnancy rumors have recently been denounced, there’s still plenty of Britney news to go around. In fact, maybe too much.
According to a report, the star walked into a dressing room at a chic boutique and walked back out sans clothing. Maybe she just missed a step somewhere in-between? After this peep show, Britney and her current boyfriend Adnan went into the room together for the better part of an hour - or so the story goes.
Frankly, I find all this Britney news rather troubling. She’s missing court dates, being rushed to hospitals, making scenes at stores. Could it be that Britney, who became a megastar at a very tender age, is addicted to media attention? Before she was being called things like “train wreck,” she was a hot young star - and she got lots of positive media feedback. But now, even negativity doesn’t seem to deter Spears. Could it be that she’s willing to take whatever headlines she can get…however she has to get them?
I don’t pretend to understand her psyche or her actions, but I do know one thing: this chick needs to stay out of the papers for a while.

Often the source of tabloid fodder, Nicole Richie has remained on magazines because the world seems obsessed with her weight. Pictures of an emaciated-looking Nicole have appeared in every major supermarket, along with bold headlines that pondered the possibility of an eating disorder. No matter what happens in her personal life (like using her winning ways to tempt Joel Madden away from former famous tween queen Hilary Duff), the headlines always go back to one thing: Richie’s waistline. Now, a slight bulge on her midsection has everyone talking again. Could it be that Nicole Richie, famous socialite and reality TV star, is pregnant? Sure, if anyone would make a great mother, wouldn’t it be her?
