Lily Allen Beck

Lily Allen, Beck and Jenny Lewis are among the artists who have penned music for the new series of Girls.

The HBO scripted comedy is written by Lena Dunham, who also stars in the show. Speaking to Radio.com about this season's soundtrack, music supervisor Manish Raval said, "It's the same sound, same vibe, but one thing that's different this season is we've had the luxury of getting people to contribute brand new songs for us. We had Miguel write us a new song. We have a new one by Jenny Lewis. We have a brand new Lily Allen track. A brand new Christina Perri track. We were able to get our hands on a brand new Beck song, which he just finished for his new record and gave to us to put on the show before the release of his album."

Taylor Swift on Next True Blood Episode

Taylor SwiftJust when you thought that True Blood couldn't get any better... they hire Taylor Swift! Well, her vocal talents, anyway.

The country pop singer's track "Haunted," has been confirmed by the show's music supervisor Gary Calamar that it will appear on tomorrow's episode of the hit vampire show, "Run."

Calamar wouldn't divulge the juicy details as to which scene the Speak Now track will play to, but he did reveal that it's "a racy, sexy scene." Given the star's squeaky clean image, Swift's team initially prohibited the song from the episode's soundtrack; however, Taylor stepped in herself and said otherwise.

As for the last episode -- titled "And When I Die" -- Calamar offered some insight as to whom the title may or may not refer to: "Vampires don't really die, so I'll say it's not a vampire. They won't face the true death. But some of our main characters do run into a little bad luck in the final episode."

NBC Ejects Glee Cast from Thanksgiving Parade

It’s the opening of the Christmas season and an integral part in Miracle on 34th Street, but that doesn’t mean the huge Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade which prances through several blocks of New York City on live TV is just meant for everybody…especially those from rival networks.

You see, the good folks at Macy’s invited the cast of FOX’s to participate in the parade. Reports say that the actors have been working on costuming and choreography for the event, which has now been nixed by NBC. It seems the Peacock doesn’t want the kids from that extremely successful show stealing any more of its ratings. Since NBC has the right to air the parade, they simply told Macy’s to cancel the deal.
