NBC Orders Tina Fey, Ellie Kemper Comedy

With a few of their veteran comedies now off the air, NBC needed some new TV blood for their line-up, so who best to ask for a new show than the creator of 30 Rock and one of the stars from The Office?
The network enlisted Tina Fey and her producing partner Robert Carlock for an upcoming show starring Ellie Kemper, which sees her as a woman living in New York City after having fled from a doomsday cult. Considering that the plot doesn't strike me as something that will be tickling my funny bone, it will be interesting to see Fey's spin on it.
Though the single-camera project is currently untitled, NBC has ordered 13 episodes to air next Fall.

Fox Picks Up New Tina Fey Series

Good news comes for those still mourning the end of 30 Rock: Tina Fey's latest comedy project has been scooped up by Fox!
After having been fought over by several major television networks, the multicamera comedy series - a straight-to-series order hailing from Universal Television - ended up at Fox.
30 Rock alum Matt Hubbard is set to write the untitled series - which takes place at a women's college that begins to allow men to attend for the first time - as well as joining other 30 Rock alums Fey, Robert Carlock, and David Miner as executive producers. Fey is not expected to star in the series.
The upcoming series joins The Mindy Project and Andy Samberg's Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Universal Television-produced shows airing on Fox.

No 30 Rock Baby for Jane Krakowski

Although one could imagine 30 Rock making Jenna Maroney and her drag queen impersonator/boyfriend (Will Forte) parents, a baby will not be in their future anytime soon.
When news of Jane Krakowski's real-life pregancy was revealed, fans of the NBC series immediately wondered what that would mean for her TV character. Now, we know the answer.
“At this time, we plan to shoot around Jane’s pregnancy, because no child should have Jenna Maroney for a mother," exec producer Robert Carlock and Tina Fey told EW in a statement.
Ouch.
